Mob Member Adding
Pea Cracker has done an amazing job with FBMW+. Does anyone know of an add-on that will invite more mob members? I am reverting back to the old way of using the forum, but that is time-consuming when I need to add around 90 more people. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks! |

Perhaps we need to start some "FBMW+ Clan"?! |
Pea Cracker - I kind of like that idea. Right now I am level 200, which is pretty respectable unless I am comparing myself to those that you have helped and then I am pretty weak. At least if a clan was started with those using your script, it would be safe to say that it would encompass some strong members. |

bump to the clan idea. |
if we had a central server, we could share hitlist targets with: 1) bounty level included

I too like the clan idea... I have been creating fake e-mail accounts and facebook accounts just to up my mob count. That is very time consuming, but I don't have anyone else to ask to join in my friends list... All that would have to be done is capture the request header and replace the user_id and that should work. Your facebook user id would have to be persisted some where so the clan could expand, prolly on the DB which is gathering the captcha data, heck that data might already be stored and if that is the case all that would need to happen is expose join the clan button and a join request would go out to everyone in the list. Granted that would be messing with the game play dynamic a bit ;) |

You can get mob wars invites here http://www.new.facebook.com/pages/Mob-Wars/1642... and here |

I like Tyrant's idea. I don't care if it's messing with the play dynamic, aren't we already doing that? |

Just caught the post for add member...Members you want to add are definde by the ids%5B%5D parameter, problem is that in order to send a request you have to be friends with that person! That really sucks... found this thread http://userscripts.org/topics/17891?page=2 maybe it will help. The friend requirement is enforced server side so nothing the script can do would circumvent this check... but just for kicks here is the post request... POST /mobwars/mob/do.php mfs_typeahead_req_form_494aaa25ceca32985576758=Start+Typing+a+Friend%27s+Name&ids%5B%5D=558018077&ids%5B%5D=1323560953 |

A FBMW+ clan wouldn't be wise, I think. Afterall, that means the developer could easily track us all down. - Right now, our facebook accounts are anonymous. |

There use to be a code that would allow one to invite people within the game without having to add them as friends. However, that code has not worked in weeks. I am sure why it does not work or even how to make it work or I would have done so long ago. Just an idea. I still have the code if anyone more knowledgable would like to look at it. |
The reason it doesn't work anymore because now, it has been implemented server side that you must be a friend with this person before inviting him, thus if you use that 'code' to try to invite someone - You will get an error stating that you must be friends with that person first. |

No, you all need to learn about MASS ADDING! Here is how to: Step 1: Join [THIS] group
If you don't understand my instructions, please read the first post of one of the topic in Step 2. |

Thank you GNomad, looks like a easier way and already has lots of people. BTW the downfall of being in a bigger group, is that there's also the higher chance of finding your own mob fellows being hitlisted and now, you can't claim those other billions on bounties. |
It happens, yes, but its not THAT common. Plus you can't expect to be successful without having your max mob size. |
PC Said:
In that case, the challenge is to catch these and go after the person who put up the bounty on your mob member. |
The even larger problem being that the developer will be able to identify people within the group as cheaters. I am recently new to the scrip (since the 14th) and I dont believe a FBMW+ group is that good of an idea for that reason, but still i enjoy the concept of unity within the game and PC's faithful users. Also my mob has peaked at the 1000+ mark. So nobody would be able to join my mob anyway. I have to turn down about 20 friend requests daily. |

There was a script for adding mob. You went to the fight page, and it automatically sent invites to everyone on it. So each time you went to the fight page, it sent 16 mob wars invites. But the Mob Wars originators figured it out and plugged the hole, although not before I maxed out my mob! |
Hmm... I grabbed all 3 lists, took out the repetitions and sorted them in Excel, and ended up with 404 semi-valid emails. Not to mention that 3 out of those 404 are mine. lol. I guess people used all 3 lists anyway, so there isn't much of any difference among them. Heck, 401 more mobs ain't bad to start with, though. |
Yeah but you're supposed to add your name to the list. People are always doing what you just did. Adding your name to that list will continue you to get added by more people. |
I just went to turbomob.net and put my email on the list for their program. Their members who pay for that program (that doesn't do half of what this does - suckers), have a script that auto invites people on a predetermined list. There is an option to just add your name to the email list for free. It helps them by giving their paid subscribers a long list of people who are ready to be added. |
Does this make everyone on that list a "facebook friend"? or just add you to their mob? It's really annoying that you have to have ONLY "friends" be in your mob now... I am sorry, but I use facebook for other things besides MobWars, and I don't need everyone and their brother to have access to my profile. I know some people that wanted to play... but now that they can't invite non friends, they have decided not to bother. |

Yeah, that's part of what makes these games money and allows them to exist on fb. They need to be viral and give facebook data on each of the players' data of some sort (I don't know exactly what info fb allows them to have). So yeah, you have to 'friend' them, but you can delete them right after they join your mob (kind of defeating the purpose of making them 'friend' you). Again, I don't know the details, but fb is pretty controlling of their data, and I think that loophole that did exist screwed with their data. |

Get a different account for your mobwars profile. |

you can delete them right after and it won't remove them from your mob? AWESOME! Thanks for letting me know! |
