For all of you who knows about the script to invite MW mobsters who aren't your friends, which is also able to over-queue invites beyond your max mob size... well, with an hour ago, the limitation has been implemented by MW. Well it pretty much means you cannot prepare your mobs ahead of time (at least I do that.)

For awhile now (months) I haven't been able to see my invites increase or be able to accept invites due to my mob size limit. Auto invites were still working as I would have a huge list of people I needed to accept but couldn't. I haven't been able to over-queue for a long time.

Worse yet, they just removed the ability to invite mobs that aren't your FB friends... no more invites to strangers. Good luck managing your FB friend list!

Hey PC,

Can you fix that at all? I found that so much easier than adding them as FB friends first. I have 283 members but offically only have 246. IS that what you mean by queuing them? But they are fighting officially for me or what? Sorry for the many questions. New to all this!

There are different places around where you can post to a site for people wanting to join mobs. We need a script that will go to forum, grab user IDs, send friend requests to each with "Mob Wars" in the subject and then add them to a Mob Wars group in your friends list. This is how other people not using scripts bulk up their mobs but by doing it manually. As far as I know you don't have to keep these friends. I get them to join my mob and then delete them and they are still in my mob. Or at least that's how it's been before.

I have been doing this in the past - manually adding in folks that I received friend invites from who were my 'friends' because I was a member of a MW mass add group / D/L.

Once members of my 'mob' I could delete them from my Friends list so I did not get every status update for 800 folks i did not know.

While this violates the original intent of the game it was the only thing I could do to keep up with others in my level.....thusfar the fact that I have 960 people in my mob and 1245 total mobsters (285 that are currently inactive) has not changed.

we can figure this out. can it be fixed through script? what do you guys think? what did they change to make the inviter obsolete?

@japes, I don't think we can script our way out of this. The "friends" validation is occurring server-side; if the mobwars developer requires that all the data sent to the mob/do.php script validate, that's that. Our only hope is that checking a user's friend's list against the requested URLs creates so much server load that it becomes not worth the effort. But I assume Facebook provides fast APIs for exactly this kind of validation (i.e. translate Mobwars users to Facebook users and check to see if they are actually Facebook friends), so ...

This was the generally used one: http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/30725
And as noted by its author, it stopped working as of Dec 6, 2008 due to FBMW's server side changes.

However, I have seen another script: http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/34203
Which is a modified version of the above, and seems to join some separate FB app in order to get a group going. I'm uncertain if this will work for our current situation.

There is yet, another script: http://userscripts.org/scripts/review/38118
Also modified from the first script, which looks very similar to the one just mentioned, except for the app name and modifying author.

I'VE TRIED A LOT OF THINGS AND NOTHING SEEMS TO WORK sorry for the caps....anyways this sucks. no more invites i guess

Um since theres 8 k or so of us dling this, why dont we alkl join a forum and join each others Mobs?? Also I came across a gy the other day trading xp with him and He was so HIghly levelled, in about 60 odd days, I was shocked, I had insider for a long while, and only levelled to current, 179 in 75 days, are there any estimates at total peak levelling time, and is this not actually dangerous because of say a lack of "insurance" from city growth etc..? I have to say the games addictive, I really appreciate the work that PC and others have done for this.. Iw as sceptical about eh whole Blist thing fgor a very long time.. But it really is (for me, ) impossoible to get a kill without assitance.. And I even run the css available on the MW forum..

Also, sorry to prattle on, I have a concern that the public listings of the updates on the front of this site, make it easier to track, I know its not tagged, and is an off shoot fromt he discussion of the first version.. I assumed this was for "security".. anyhoo, great script,. much appreciated.

Dunno what "normal" levelling is, but I've been mobbing for 88 days and I'm 462. I'm probably underprotected with about a billion bounty, but what the heck.

We need a program like this: http://www.foxadder.com/
but free!
This program could grab user IDs from those "mob wars add me" pages, send them all a friend request with a mob wars message, and stick them in a mob wars group. That would be sweet!
