Gautham Pai: I believe I found the problem. Google for me defaults to Google Canada, so I get the .ca at the end and not the .com.
I can fix this in the script, but you may want to add this to the main version of the script. I'll try it out and let you know.

Thanks Craig.

Let me know if it is fine and I will add that to the script.

Still doesn't work. I added the http://www.google.ca/reader* and https://www.google.ca/reader* to the script from the Greasemonkey (rightclick)->Manage User Scripts window->Included Pages area of the window. Reloading the page and trying the shortcuts do not work.

There are no other Google Reader scripts enabled.

Anything I can do or try?

This seems strange. Are you still not seeing the script enabled when you add the 2 URL's or is it that the script is enabled, but the keys are not working?

I installed it in Chrome 5 and it didn't work, but installing the Shift+I/Y version of the script _did_ work. Since that was what I was used to anyway, I'm going with that.

I just installed the 'shift modifier' script through 'Tampermonkey' extension (http://goo.gl/aOHCi) on Chrome 10.0.648.127 and it works perfectly.
The 'ctrl+alt modifier' version on the other hand, did not work.

Thanks for this great script!

Cheers

@Gaba
Good to know! Thanks.

I have never really tested it in other browsers.

I included my country domains in my code.
I moved down a reading list.
I pressed Ctrl + Alt + y
nothing happened for 4 seconds.
And then voila! it works!
