Option for using low flash quality on specific formats?

I've had an issue where on my old PC my dad uses, the HQ versions of videos are a little stuttery (850MHz P3 CPU ain't enough for flash...) and so I have it set to use low quality flash. Problem is, this is it effects the standard youtube quality videos as well, and those run fine. Also, with the new fmt=22, even my Athlon XP 2100+ OC'd @ 1.95GHz can't quite keep up unless I set low flash quality. But I can handle all the others just fine. |

Adding that option will multiply the users' possible choices and the script complexity, so I don't think I'll add something like that, sorry. But I have great interest in adding an option to replace the "CPU hungry" Flash plugin with a more efficient plugin or a video tag so the CPU use will be lower. I think that will solve your problems with CPU too |

if it's playback speed is anything like VLC, then yes it would be faster. (heck, VLC plays faster than even the low quality flash player!) |
