Still working
I thought this wasn't working for me as it would instantly kick me from the fight page to the mob page and wouldn't show an increase in invites. However I am still getting people at a significant rate which leads me to believe this is still working on some level even though it's not showing it like it once did. Can someone concur? |

It's been doing the same thing to me. I was looking at the code and I noted that it forwards you to the mob page when it tries to refresh your request ID - which it is failing to do for me. However, I think this happens when you have more people in your mob than the mob limit. I think if you ever have mob openings it will successfully get a new request ID. |
Yeah, I'm over my current limit so I'm building up tons of people that I can't accept. |
this script is still working great, no problems whatsoever my current limit is 830 mobs and i have 803 so far. |

It has been a while since I worked on it and my memory doesn't really work so great any more but, how I recall it working, it only needs your ID once and stores it, it would only need to forward you to the mob page the first time you installed the script, after that every thing else can be done in the background. This script was still working for me a few days ago, I was actually surprised myself :) Thanks for all your feedback, I really do appreciate it.

Andy, I found that this wasn't working on my FF3 install a week or so ago. But when I replaced the GM_xmlhttpRequest with a standard xmlhttprequest it started working fine again. |
Either it isn't working or people aren't accepting my mob invites. Hard to think that not a single person has added me. I'm using FF3 and I've even made the change to the xmlhttprequest mentioned above. It would be nice if there were some visual clue that this was doing its job. On the main page for it it is stated that the invites total goes up with every fresh fight page. However, elsewhere I've see it said that this doesn't apply to your 20 invite/day limit. I'm confused. Either way, my invite count isn't going up. |

Sorry Mathew, it is hard to diagnose your problem and I can't really work no the script since my mob is far bigger than my max mob size. As for the visual information it would be hard to give any useful information really since it just grabs all id's from the fight page and sends requests to them, chances are you'll be adding people that are already on your list over and over so all the invites might be useless for you at that time, I was going to keep a database of all invited and already active mob members but figured it was somewhat pointless, it works the way it was, so I was happy with it. Now they've added info on viewing someones stats page if they're in your mob I could add a check to see if they're already in your mob and not request them if they are. Beanach, I haven't tested (i dont think) with FF3, with FF2 the way greasemonkey was layed on top of the standard page you couldn't use the xmlhttprequest if anyone else is having problems I'll look in to fixing it, as long time i tried to use it (a week ago) it worked without problems. |

this scriot is still working for me just fine.. thanks andy! i do hope you can create more scripts for facebook applications :) |

I am using Firefox 3.0.4 with Greasemonkey 0.8.20080609 and the script does not work for me. |
Thanks for the script! Using Firefox 3.0.4 and Greasemonkey 0.8.20080609.0 and works great :) |

I can't seem to get the script to work for me at all??? I've installed FF3 and opened over and over again the script, but i haven't gotten one extra person to my list?

ok... i've now got greasemonkey running in the back ground, and so far i got one response, so i'll say the script works now! wicked stuff |
i was wondering if we could limit how many people were asked from the fight page. |
I don't think it is working anymore. I got a "you have to be friends first" message. Anyone else? |
Same for me, Jeeves. I get the message about how you have to be friends first. |
uh huh! i got that one too... uh oh |
Same here unfortunately. |

I'm getting the same "you must be friends first" message, and my number of invites isn't increasing. Using FF 3.0.4. The script worked very well just a day or two ago. Mob Wars published a new release recently, but I can't remember if I used the script since then or not. The release includes the new counters at the top of the page. It makes sense that they must have found a way to work around this script and that's included in the new release. I'm afraid this script is bunk now. |

We just need to figure something out! there is always a way. My guess is that the the new system check against your friends list we just need to bypass it. -HJ |

I knew about this script so late, it is not working. My mob size is very small. Kindly, try to update us with a solution to this problem. Hope there is still a solution. |

Sounds like they've added extra checks now. It is so easy for them to check you're friends in facebook before allowing you to be friended by a mob. Maybe time to revert back to my old script which started out by inviting all the people from the mobwars fight page in facebook, adding them to a 'mobwars' group in facebook, then you can ask them to be friends in mobwars itself, shame really. Kinda pointless to make sure they're friends in facebook.
I had an idea of making a script auto add them from the fight page in to facebook and auto inviting them and sending them a message to invite you once your limit is full, unfortunately I am way past my limit and wont be needing invites for a long time yet so I am not going to spend a day writing the script :/ Maybe someone else can take over the project or I'll see about digging out the old script. |
sounds like you're our only hope andy... i do hope you'll find your old script and help some of us who needs more friends... pretty please!!!! |
I hope someone figures something out with this - the issue is those who have already achieved 500-1000+ mob members for the rest of us who have yet to do so have no chance after a certain point in the game. Some of us don't like the idea of adding people to facebook for a game (like myself). Thanks for the script while I had a chance to use it! Great Job! |
Agreed. Not a lot of point in continuing without being able to recruiting more mob members. Hope someone can figure this out soon. |
