your script can be better as just:

if (!/[&?]fmt=18/.test(document.URL))location.href+="&fmt=18"

But joe already made this script (its better ) and didn't quite abandon it.

Well I added the fmt=18 script to my collection and added a few more security measures like excluding fmt=18 and fmt=6 pages so it wont add fmt=18 several times and waste people's time.

Dunno, I guess I'm just a simpleton. I don't mind the page refreshing at all. I know its going to happen, so I wait the extra .05 seconds for it to take place. I like have the fmt=18 in the url for when I share the link with others too. This saves me from having to type it out.

Ok. but may I ask, why do you like this one better?
One thing I don't like about this is if, say, you click on a video... it will start to load that page, then it will reload the page with fmt=18 which gets annoying. In my new one, it just changes it with JavaScript instead of reloading the whole page.

Actually Joe, I don't like that new one you've got. But now that I know who wrote this one, I'll attribute it to you.

This is my old script. You can delete this and install mine, it's faster and has more features now.

FYI, I didn't write this script. I found it in my GM with no name to attribute it to.
