Anyone using this who wishes to get their tabs back, the fix is pretty simple: On line 35 change container = container.parentNode.parentNode.parentNode; to this container = container.parentNode.parentNode; (i.e. remove one occurrence of parentNode).

Are there plans to change the script to show the tabs? As it is, the name is a little misleading.

It works, yes, but I like to show off the beach theme and tabs when I'm visiting people. What I really want is to be able to get rid of the search box and leave the rest in place.

Wait, I spoke too soon. It ate my tabs.

Brilliant. Hello, screen real estate! It seems to break find-as-you-type for me too, though.

Breaks find-as-you-type on the page. (Atleast for me...)

on digg.com today there was a post regarding opening Google homepages in the sidebar, which is pretty handy. But your greasemonkey script only works when the site is opened in the main window, not in the sidebar. Why?

The "reshow search" link is currently not working; I'll look at it later, but if this was a selling point for you, keep that in mind.

OK, it's been modified to automatically work on with TLDs other than .com.

Doesn't work 'out of the box' if you're using a localised version of google (co.uk, .fr etc), need to change the 'com' to '*'.

Work's perfectly, unlike v1. Even works when using site specific stylesheets to customize the page :)
