@blog.r1mson.ru: Open about:config in a new tab and try setting the following preferences:

  • greasemonkey.scriptvals.http://www.thingsthemselves.com/greasemonkey//Google Cache Continue Redux.noCacheTitle: set to Поиск в Google
  • greasemonkey.scriptvals.http://www.thingsthemselves.com/greasemonkey//Google Cache Continue Redux.textOnlyLinkText: set to Текстовая версия
  • greasemonkey.scriptvals.http://www.thingsthemselves.com/greasemonkey//Google Cache Continue Redux.fullLinkText: set to Полная версия

I don't have any Russian translations for the other preferences, so please customize as you like.

Hello. This script don't work with hl=ru. It works with hl=en only.

@i<3monkeys: After installing the script, open "about:config" in Firefox and look for the preference greasemonkey.scriptvals.http://www.thingsthemselves.com/greasemonkey//Google Cache Continue Redux.cacheLinkText. Change the value (double-click on the pref or right-click and select "Modify") to "!" and the script should use that instead of "cache".

If you do not see that pref, open a cached page (e.g. Google cache of userscripts.org), then open "about:config".

In the original Google Cache Continue (http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/580) it was possible to replace the word "cache" with something else. I replaced it with "!" so it would be less intrusive to reading, than "cache" every other word. Is this possible in this version?

Thanks Jeffery To !
Your script works fine. :)

Las preferencias para español de jmt4b04d4v funcionaron muy bien.
Gracias jmt4b04d4v ! ;)

jmt4b04d4v, thanks for your comments. It was your fork that reminded me that improvements are always possible :-)

I've also added a note above about the preferences being missing. The easiest way to edit them is to visit a Google cache page first, then customize them in about:config.

Awesome, I think now this can be the "reference implementation," I'll comment on my fork. @see ya.

A note about customization for other languages. First time I tried about:config, script related preferences were not showed up (even restarting Firefox.) I had to edit source (no edits, only open in editor) and then they appeared. Maybe I missed something else but that worked for me.
