This looks like a great script for visually impaired users. I am legally blind and need high contrast light-on-black color schemes for web sites. I use Accessibar, but it us not always persistent. So far, my only request is to move away from blue, which is not easy to see, towards gold, which is. |

Dink, You're absolutely right. There was a discrepancy between the layout in FF2 & FF3. I have since resolved that issue and tightened up the conditions just a bit. Thanks for the heads-up! |

Thanks Alot for keeping this script up-to-date.

Dink, Great idea! I added the "iGoogle" link to the header-bar (left of Web, Images, etc) and also conditionally added the "Sign in" link (only when not signed in) --- these appear not only on the Firefox start-page, but across all Google headers. Kyle, Thank you for your suggestions to fix the backgrounds when using your script [Google Search Sidebar http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/11888] - I appreciate the heads up! I did just that and it looks great. If you guys haven't tried his script with mine, I would recommend it! gishpuppy, I would try adding an " !important" to the end of the property, like this "background-color:#333 !important;" and see if that helps... frankmb, Thank you for the kind words and letting me know that it works on the latest Opera---that's great; good to know! |

AWESOME, it worked great on my Opera@USB 9.52 |

Hi, I modified my userContent.css to have a set background color, if the site didn't stress it's own color. Now I would like to use your work for my Goggles and keep my userContent.css for the other sites. How can I do this? Thanks :) |

I updated my script (Google Search Sidebar), and used GM_addStyle() instead of my old way of injecting CSS. This resulted in some of your modified colors being messed up. Adding !important a couple places at line 437 should fix the problems:

There's only one more thing that I can think of.
I must say though I'm really liking this script!! |

Norman, Thanks for all the great ideas with the font and link colors; got them all added. embøl, Just replace everything in the img-Var multi-line block - goodluck. I will do my best to get g.Translate enhanced for you asap! (thanx for the reminder) Dink, I agree and gladly made the header linx more visible for you. |

about the custom logo change , do i have to replace all the base64 vars at the bottom of the script or just the data image var :] ? by the way, when the google translator is converting the text, the text result is black, and it's impossible to see because there is also a black background. Am i the only one here who has this problem? |

simon, I appreciate your kind support! mcgoxel, Thanks for the heads up! I fixed the international logo on the Google Hompepage just for you! embøl, If you'd like to use a custom logo, save your image and then upload it to a Base64 translator, then put that code in the googleLogoBLACK variable. Ahal89, Try using the FF add-on, Firebug, then Inspect the element, and Force the selector like this "A {color:#f00 !important}" LucifeL, That should be taken care of now ;) Dink, I completely ReEnhanced the Firefox start page for you. It's a lot cleaner; hope you like it! Jrider, Thanks for the heads up on the search-logo, got that fixed for you! |

Great! I love this, i really like things darker, and this works great. But one thing i noticed was that the Google name/picture was still in a white box(the search results page). I don't know if that's fixable or not, but if you could fix that it would look a lot better, Thanks. : ) |

I would like to see this look a little better on the firefox start page, if it's not a problem... |

Made a quick update today to address Google's recent changes. Covers everything I noticed, but if you find anything else please let me know. More major updates coming soon... |

I had previously modified all the links to be red, and upon updating the script the links have reverted to blue despite the fact that it is still red in the source. The main google page links are still red (ie. 'About Google' etc...) but the top toolbar links are blue, as well as the search results. I sifted through the source and changed practically every random color I found to red, but still no luck. Is there a different line somewhere in the new version? Any ideas? Thanks |
