Arrghhh... hmm does the top bar look the same in google apps as in normal gmail or is it the other thinner blue colored bar ? If it is the blue colored bar then it will take some time i suppose. Thanks a lot Robert ! |

Not working in Google Apps Mail using Gmail 2.0 and Firefox 2.0.0.1.1 Mac OS X. No top nav items appear - but they do in plain Gmail. |

UPDATE: It now works with google apps @tbw: done ;) @fredrok: hmmm youre sort of reading my mind here. i was hoping to get something like that up. but it wont be up that soon because its quite a big idea (and im really busy :p (with my exams that is...) ). i hope you can make do with this for the time being. @gabriel019: get firefox www.getfirefox.com . get greasemonkey https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/748 . come back here and click install script. ;)... still in doubt? use the forums http://userscripts.org/forums . |

Can someone please tell me how this site works |

Awesome script. Think you could rig if so that chat opened on the left (with gCal below)? Also, any idea if chat can be opened with the 'sign into AIM' feature enabled? Maybe by using gChat instead of gTalk? Thanks! |

Wonderful idea, it would be fantastic except that it doesn't seem to work with Google Apps. My mail urls are of the form https://mail.google.com/a/thaibodywork.com/* and nothing happens -- it never seems to execute even though Greasemonkey shows it as installed. |

Oh, you rule. This is exactly what I was looking for. Thank you. |
hmmmm well whadya know ;)
update: added support for displaying calendar under all the mail @reddye: got to the script source (right click on the pink greasemonkey icon and right click on 'Enhance Gmail' then change the option that reads OPEN_CAL_BELOW_MAIL to 1. thats it) |

hi sorry wasnt here for a while. actually think ill be here less and less now. kinda busy with other stuff right now so... okay
i was thinking of another way to implement that though. ive almost finished it but theres still a little left. i mean its not as though its a big change and that it should take long. its just that i dont know when to do it. it involves unfloating them and then reducing the height of the main window and then increasing the height of the calendar window. so now the divs line up below each other - no floats. since i dont intend to make this mainstream (more than one person hasnt requested this) i would really appreciate it if if reddeye could leave his email id or another form of contact. ill get back to you with the thing asap. happy new yr :) (little late tho but what the hell...) |
@reddeye - if you mean you want the frames to open up to the bottom instead of to the right I don't think this is possible... http://www.w3schools.com/htmldom/prop_style_css... the code uses cssfloat to determine where the iFrames open up. Currently cssfloat only works for left and right not top and bottom. |

Great script. Is there a way to make GCal appear directly below the GMail inbox? |
@Alan Smith: Hi, this script really doesnt even touch those buttons. If you do have any other scripts installed it must be them ;). For instance, gmail beautifier makes the buttons 'rounded' which could give that effect. |

This script makes gmail much more pleasing to my eyes. The one comment that I do have is that the "Search Mail" and "Search the Web" buttons aren't aligned along the bottom with the search bar. Just a suggestion. |
@The Dot: It's working fine now. I have a feeling the problem may have been the result of GMail's updates over the past couple of days. There have been a couple of GMail layout issues affecting other scripts over the past few days. I wish the folks at Google would give us a heads up when they are deploying new features so that we know when to expect some glitches! Great work, and thanks for the fast response! |

Hi @CyberCPA: Ummm... That really shouldnt happen. Theres nothing that suggests anywhere that it should and it seems to be working fine on my comp. I tried making some changes and checking again. Could you please try again as well? As it stands, if you can recreate that particular problem, i really cant figure out how to fix it because i cant recreate the same thing here. @hsrstud: Okay, first of all you shouldve installed my Google Calendar script as well. The next thing is that google calendar only formats the events when you resize the window or change the month. Otherwise you should see all the events going across the entire page. For a quick fix just change the month and change it back again, 'j' and then 'k' with the calendar in focus. Im trying other stuff though. Ill post a fix when i find one. If youve got any ideas let me know. As for the other script, i checked it out and i cant get the same thing to happen. Because things happens slightly differently every time you reload the page, could you check if its only once or every time. Thanks a lot. And if anybody else can find a solution to these, or sees the same problem please let me know. |

Oddly enough, for some reason, this script only seems to work correctly for me if I also have the "Gmail spam-Count Hide" script installed and enabled. If I use this script on its own, the wording and colors for the pop-up calendar are all jumbled. |
As you intended, if I disable enhanced chat and enable the calendar in the script options, the chat link does not show up in the header, while the calendar link does. However, when I click on the calendar link, the chat frame opens, not the calendar frame. So, basically, I have to enable advanced chat in order to have the calendar frame render. |

Fixed everything! Thanks searchforsunrise :) |

@ the dot: thanks for the reply, i only got the "loading..." with this script enabled. When disabled, the chat list loaded normally. Also, this script recently broke for me, not exactly sure why: no other GM scripts, and I use minimal extensions (have done trial-and-error), no go. Is this just me? Thanks for your help! |
@searchforsunrise: Hmmmm... yeah that happens sometimes to me too. But it seems to happen whether or not i have any scripts or extensions installed. And it doesnt happen anymore anyway. Must have been a problem with Gmail. If it doesnt happen without the script and does with it can you let me know how exactly you did to get that problem? Thank you. |
Hi there, Love the script; I'm wondering if you had any idea why my Contact List constantly shows me as "Loading...", even though my contacts do show up. I'm using the default chat; disabled enhanced chat in the script. Not using any other greasemonkey scripts. Also on Gmail 2. Firefox 2.0.0.9. Thanks! |

Great script, just a small problem when you have the default gmail chat enabled: The layer will be underneath the enhanced chat. Thanks for a great script! |
This script works only with the gmail site. Are you sure that its not the other script (Enhance Google Calendar) thats making things go wrong? Can you please check www.google.com/calendar and tell me if its still not working correctly? |

Can i know what exactly you've installed? Perhaps i can find a way to change something to make it work. |
