Thanks for your suggestion on that one. I Added it to the userscript's version, as my current local version has so much stuff commented out that's simply due to my personal taste that I'm sure if I uploaded it many people would think it was "overkill".
With time, I think I'll modify it to allow you to manually enter classes from the menu. That'll have to wait though.

FYI - as of 7/25/07 CNN's home page displays a banner ad in the top most panel. I added "'cnn728Container'" to the array of classes (var classes) and this removed it.

Just for kicks I also modified to remove all divs whose id begins with "ad-" just because most of the ads I looked at were contained in div with an ID like that.

(1.3) works great except for a continuous stream of errors that prevented the page-loading from completion. I added this to my Adblock and the errors went away.

Updated to 1.3 because of not knowing about CNN's "LIVE" icons for some pipeline links. Those are now excluded. Screenshot updated.

That was a nasty oversight, sorry.

Also blocked another id, since I use adblock i didn't know there was a 'pipeline' SWF. That had to go.
