Good enough. Since there is now no current demand or need for the feature, I'll take it off the "active" and put it on the "things to consider working on when I am ineffably bored" list.

Hey! =]

I think i found my solution, i used the forum advanced search function and just saved a bookmarklet to the preset search it just organizes them by latest changes, and hides anything before September 2008. It's very clean and straight forward.

If you still interested in adding the feature awesome, but don't feel any pressure or anything no rush, after all greasemonkey is also about fun =D. I think its phpbb 3.1? it has the calendar module and some other stuff, but its looks and acts exactly like this site ( http://www.animemusicvideos.org/phpBB/index.php ).

As for me i will definitely keep using MondoPita, and the bookmarklet for now. Thanks for all your help, and your speedy responses =].

P.S. Love your Better eBay Filter script too. Will keep an eye on your projects. ^_^

An example serves the dual purpose of making sure we are talking about exactly the same thing for exactly the same environment, and allowing me to directly test and debug a new feature for the desired board. If you know a different board where you expect the same behavior for filtering, that should do the trick. Otherwise, I'll probably test against my board or a handy higher-traffic board, as time permits.

You are correct it hides the user in the Viewtopic.php?XXX, but i would like to have it hidden in Index.php, and in Viewforum.php?f=X. Your script is working perfectly.

I think I may be out of luck then it is an HTTPS:// secure phpbb forum used by my school, and i can't give out my pass. Basically they never archive or clean the forum, and it has posts dating YEARS back that say "NEW!" on them and they confuse me and clutter the forum.

I may have found a half-solution? a firefox plugin called "Remove It Permanently" if i select advanced options and "remove from domain" and i individually remove links to those threads/people, it will show up just leaving a blank table entry in the main page ? Aesthetically ugly but it does the job. I can't remove the table holding the old topic though because it will not come back when a new item rises / bumps in the thread index because it uses that individual tables ID not the contents within its ID.

You think it be possible to fold or hide a whole

tag containing a last posted date before X date, or time it to hide posts after 90 days type thing. If possible i will try to find out the module & version number of phpbb my school is using, maybe i can find a comparable board to help for testing?

Either way thank you very much for taking the time to reply =]

Maybe. Problem has always been that phpBB doesn't generate a lot of unique information to properly distinguish an entry, but a look at the DOM for viewforum.php shows it might be possible (viewtopic is the actual message thread and is already hidden for a user by the script, right?).

Give me a board link you want me to look at/test with, maybe with a test example (doesn't have to be the real user you want to block), and I'll take a look this weekend for possible enhancement.

Hey! Love this thing, works wonders for me =D! Wondering if you could implement another feature?

i found it could only hide specfic user's and their posts, but not topics and thread started by them =o, as much as i like this feature is it possible to add an option to hide topics and threads by those users in the viewforum.php and viewtopic.php pages as well?

XD Thanks for the amazing tool, and no worries if you can't help me out, but would be appreciated.
