@davehenning I don't use Google Calendar but this script can be used as a starting point by interested parties.

@searchforsun... A couple people have asked for that so I'll see about moving the feeds navbox up higher.

hey. love the script. love the integration.

I have a request. Wondering what you, and others, think.

I think it would be awesome if you could include Google calendar the same way you included reader. It would fit really well in the same spot, as long as reader was minimized, and vice versa. You could even put an agenda (maybe using the gadget) in the sidebar (maybe on the right side this time, to match up with the remember the milk and fit under that)

I would love to know how to do this myself, but I have no idea. haha. sorry.

Just an idea.. let me know what you think.

Thanx.

amazing script, having reader in gmail is a must for me, and this certainly doesn't fail to impress :)

quick question, is there any way to edit the script to move the reader navbox (on the sidebar) to above the chat list? i ask because i always have my chat list expanded, and moving the reader navbox above it would let me expand the navbox to see my feeds without having to scroll completely off screen to find a certain feed (since it would overlap the chat list when expanded).

I was able to achieve this (by accident) with a script over on userstyles that moves the labels box to above the "contacts" link, but i was wondering if there was a "cleaner" way to achieve this. thanks!

Hi jesses,

I've just realized that the popups error messages are not caused by your script but by another one (http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/7056), at least in my case.

@Fabrizio do you get any error messages? Check in Tools -> Error Console.

Hi Fabrizio,

I have FF 2.0.0.9 too on my laptop and the scripts works fine. Have you tried to delete the cache?

Hi!
it doesn't work for me, just does not do anything.
FF 2.0.0.9.

The script is loaded (I can see it in greasemonkey menu), but the look and feel of gmail and reader are completely unchanged.

Thanks for any help :)

Hi jesses,

if I click on one of the feeds (e.g. "sport"), then only those news are displayed. But if I want to go back to all the news, I have to reload the page. What about a "display all" link/button?

PS: the script works perfectly if I disable the other one.

@Ricardo Sabino - What did that link do other than display the unread count?

@Chipsp1 - See the comments on http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/8450 for a version that was working before the November update to Gmail.

Hi. For those of us using Google Apps, which means the "old" version of everything, is there an old version of this? It looks great in my "Free" version of Gmail which is at the 2.0 version.

Thanks

Hi,
first let me thank you for this amazing script!

You said that some things were removed from the UI, well, I can't live without the "Feeds (x)" link in the top left main panel besides "inbox, starred, etc."

It would be nice to have it back. If you didn't remove this it's not appearing here (maybe due to some other scripts I'm using? I'll try to filter the scripts later.)

Hi,

I got also this one:
window.DOM constructor.prototype

after installing this script:
http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/7056

So at the moment I can't use it because the popup never stops.

Hi,

It's a popup. It doesn't show up when the script is disabled. And when it appears, the only way to make it going away is to reload the page.

Is it possible to change the position of the script?

Thanks,
tdd

@baldsam The script now properly escapes the url so feeds with parameters like the pipes ones now work.

@thedrunkduck Where does this error displayed? Error console, popup, in the right hand reader box? Does the error go away if you disable this script?

Hi,

it never happened to me before by today I began to have the error message "Permission denied for HTML.getElementById" (same as CyberCPA). It happens only after having clicked the "contacts" link.

I'm using Linux Debian and Iceweasel (firefox) 2.0.0.3.

Please note that the contact list doesn't load at all (bug submitted to the gmail team), so maybe it depends on gmail rather than on the script.

Hi, the script works fine!
I was trying to find out how to move up the left panel (in order to have it just below the "label" panel), but due to my (not existing) GM experience, I didn't succeed...
Can anyone help me with that?

Thanks for the great script!!!

Jesses,

Great script! Thanks.

I'm running into a problem with Yahoo Pipe feeds.

You script bolds the feed title on the left showing it has unread content (correct) but, then says, "feed/http://pipes.yahoo.com/pipes/pipe.run" has no items."

The (admittedly ugly) feed URL I'm using is:
http://pipes.yahoo.com/pipes/pipe.run?_id=lAYLv...

It is cutting of at the "?". Can it be fixed?

Thanks,
baldsam

I don't need the info now since it works with v3.2. I know what changed and could have caused it.

Thanks for reporting the problem

CyberCPA Scriptwright

Version 3.2 of this script solves the problem. Great script!

FYI, I am using WinXP, FF 2.0.0.9, and GM 0.7.20070607.0. I use many FF addons and GM scripts (only a few that are compatible w/ GMail 2.0).

If you still want to trace this error, and if you provide your email address, I can email you lists of the scripts and addons I have installed.

I get an error that only quits once I close the frame: Permission denied for HTML.getElementById.

Can you post some information about your setup?

Operating system
Firefox version
Greasemonkey version
Other installed FF add-ons
Line number where error occurs

CyberCPA Scriptwright

When the frame opens to show the integrated Google Reader frame, I get an error that only quits once I close the frame: Permission denied for HTML.getElementById.
