Uhh.... dude... this script does a helllot more than adblocking. And it's nothing like the toolbar.

Maybe adblock would work better, anyone else think so?

Those freakin' ads are so ridiculous. Thanks man, it really helps the soul (Job 31:1).

I will make an "options" panel to allow the option of moving that link to the bottom.

I can't figure out how to remove the banner at the top of the "Home" pages. If anyone has a fix for me, let me know.

very great script but i have a couple questions--
removes top banner ad from profile pages but doesn't remove it from my home page. can you?

also i personally don't like the "is this profile annoying" link that you've put in the extended network box - it gets in the way of pictures that some people put in the box, for instance mine (myspace.com/ryanryanbobyan)..can you just put that down at the bottom where you put the /scripts/show/3332 link?

So far so good. Haven't explored it all the way, music took a little longer to load but it picked up once I refreshed a bit.

This is a great script. I wrote a script that gets rid of the junk on the home and main page, however I didn't realize this script existed or I would have just used it. The only thing missing is that it doesn't remove the annoying stuff from the login page. Good work on this.

Very cool script. I like the integration. There are some side effects like not being able to press the "search" button after you input a name or email address, but the script can be toggled off quickly. It works well on MY end. Well done, sir.

this script is awesome. one problem though is that when you click on Music in myspace, and want to search for a band, clicking the drop down menu to choose which criteria to search by (band name, band bio, band members, etc) doesn't allow access to the greyed-out search box where normally it does when the script is disabled. if this could be fixed i'd be even more impressed. thanks!

deltadave, you could just click the link in their profile that says "Is this profile annoying?", and nuke all flash and embeded media...

deltadave User

Hi Dan. Ok, I figured out one way to stop music in myspace that seems to work. Add MediaPlayerConnectivity to Firefox and then you can shut it off. Thanks,
Dave.

Hi Dan. I'm not a guru like u. I was able to download your scripts into greasemonkey. I couldn't find anything on the member's profile.
Do u have a script to shut off the media or can u tell me how to filter media? Thanks for your help! Dave.

Poet Script's Author

Yes... just turn it off by filtering the CSS, Flash, and/or Embeded Meida.

There should be an "Is this profile annoying?" link on people's profiles where the "extended network" stuff used to be.

Hi Daniel. Thanks for the script. Is there a way to shut off the damn music in a user's profile in myspace??

I'm having trouble with the submit buttons on the Search page. I see you say you fixed this, and this does seem to be the only page that gives me a problem. Great script by the way, keep it up. :)

The annoyance options for group profiles are somewhat experimental.

mmm... nope... fixed this issue with excludes a while ago.

Care to report the URL with the problem?

James Cameron Scriptwright

It makes the submit buttons un usable.. and whenever i tried to type in a textarea It start a find as you type box.... The only way to fix it is to disable it.

Poet Script's Author

It notifies you of updates.... *rolls eyes*

I wanted it to get the latest version number from me so that it wouldn't slam the userscripts.org server when it checks for updates... if anyone has a better idea, let me know.
