Facebook changed their page format for a couple of hours; this should now be resolved. |
wth... it stopped working like while i was browsing. |
Ack, my little "x"s are gone! |
Man you have made some really good updates since I last saw this script. I love the fact that the script gets rid of the apps in the minifeed and news feed. This script is amazing but if anyone wants something a little more drastic you can always try my Facebook UnFuck script. |
Thank god for this. You have made my day. |
In v13a, it is not detecting or hiding any apps in the Requests section... |
Thanks much better :) And the margin change fixes the bg problem so just forget what I said about that. Can you make it so the requests box disappears completely instead of being empty when nothing is in it? That would make this thing perfect. |
Could you give me a link to an affected profile? I can't find any of my friends with the offending app. |
Chokes on "Movies" I'm afraid - sometimes works, sometimes gives "undefined" everywhere. |
I've put on a margin but I'm not sure what you mean by the "bumper background", I'm afraid |
Oh and would be good if the whole "Requests" area disappears when there are no requests in it any more. |
Would be nice if you got rid of the bumper background (light blue above) on the main page and put have a margin-top of a fair bit or something so it is more separated from the feed content. |

xert just said it, but I will say it again, you are a god. |
you=god. |
you should run for president of the world. thank you. |
Whoa. That would be very bug-prone and a lot of work... But, feasible! It might take me a while to get round to this one, but I'll do my best! |
Any chance it can auto hide any application we don't have installed ourselves? |
Facebook feed: ghost old news might also be useful enough to warrant a mentioning around here. |
Not at all - thanks for your comment! It won't take me much coding to add an option allowing you to choose whether the feeds are filtered. I'll post it soon... |
I'm no longer installing the updates to this, because I think I want to keep the mini-feed and news feed unfiltered. This compromise lets me keep track on what my friends are doing with SuperPoke or free gifts or whatever without having to scroll through metres of profile to get to their wall. And in some instances I have applications installed which I also hide. eg scrabulous, I like to play but don't want it cluttering up profiles. But I do like to see the feed items. Don't know why I'm telling you this! Just thought you might like to know how people are using your script. |

Fixed in v0.12 |

I suppose the problem is that if a user wants a specific app to be shown, they first have to change to "show apps by default", then hide the app so it shows on the hidden apps list, then show the app from that list, before hiding all apps by default. I suppose it would be easy to add the apps that aren't shown (but aren't explicitly blocked) to the list when in "hide all by default" mode.

A thought (or feature request), by the way -- if you can draw (or can get someone else good to draw) a nice, tiny icon for the "Hidden Items" app we sort of implement, for the icon list on top, that would be great. I'll hook it in for you, if you (or anyone else listening) just come up with the 16x16 pixels, if you don't feel like doing that bit yourself. |
You're very welcome, of course. Regarding your "bug" only listing apps which user has chosen to show/hide -- isn't that rather a feature? If, however, you are thinking of listing all not-specifically-filtered apps when in "hide by default" mode, it would be a useful feature, I guess, especially if those were discernable from whatever you specifically had set to be hidden. It's a bit unfortunate that the home.php page does not list names of all apps listed in the feed in any standardized form; I'm largely cheating to get the names in place there. |

I removed the "Powered by GeoLogic" link from the description, since it seems it was just there to mooch PageRank – fail to see the relevance here. On a non-admin note, love the script ;) |
