Thank you SO much, Jeff. You are my hero! :)

Jeff,
Yeah, I usually have a certain label open and would really love to see unread number first there, but other scripts that I tried don't support that. The reason why I ask here is because I really like this particular script and having both current functionality and unread count first for labels would be awesome (or it could be in form of two separate scripts, it doesn't matter). I'll be thankful if you can look into it.
And thanks for replies.

Soul,

I wanted the title (namely, the Inbox's) to be like the older version before Gmail changed some things, because I've grown used to it and it's the most convenient way for me.

I don't usually keep gmail opened on a label, so, if you want the label to be a certain way, I'll see what I can do. If you want the Inbox to have the unread number first, there are other scripts that will do that for you.

Oh, pardon me for confusion =)
I assumed that the script also put the number of unread messages in front of the text. Tested it with labels, but didn't actually try for inbox to see that it actually doesn't do this.

Well, if it's possible to implement this feature I'd really appreciate it. If not, disregard my previous comment then :P

Soul,

What does it currently display for you and what do you want it to display as?

Great job, thanks!
One request though. Is it possible to make it work when viewing labels with unread mail as well?

lextel,

I couldn't reproduce what you were talking about, but hopefully my change works for you.

i think i found a bug: when someone sends me a chat message i get a weird message in the tab. generally it would say "mandy says" but it's a long string of something else now. when i disabled greasemonkey it works fine :\
