^ All those wildcards and more can be matched by simply doing:

http://*imdb.com/name/*

Problem solved!

Thanks, theaulddubliner. For some reason I didn't think to search for a similar script before writing this, and I can see now that there is one which seems to work slightly better than mine (eg with death dates), but I had fun writing this. I've tweaked the includes, and if I get bored at some point I might add some more functionality.
