Raffles Script's Author

OK, it seems to work better now that I completely rewrote it. I've tested it here, facebook and wikipedia and it seems to work well in all of them. See the description above for an explanation of how it works.

Patrick, that's a good idea, but it would make the script very slow and I'd rather let people choose what they want to put in there. Feel free to make a version including that list available.

I know it isn't amazing, and it's a bit buggy on certain websites (e.g. Gmail) but I can get it to work here and on Facebook. I'm not sure why it works on some websites and not others, but it works OK for me. I can only suggest that you try refreshing the page and that you make sure the word you're typing is in the list!

I'm going to try and make this a bit more reliable because I know it is far from perfect.

@Raffles and Patrick Robertson:

It doesn't seem to work :(
I'm typing example words in the text area and nothing happens after I press space.

How about using Wikipedia's list of common words that are spelt incorrectly?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Lists_of...

I've converted it to be in your script format (i.e. changed -> to ': '

a apostrophe needs to be added to the beginning and ending of every line, and some words (e.g. can't need to be changed to can\'t)

here's the script so far if you (Raffles) want to finish it off.

One problem is that it might slow down your browser (as it's a ~80KB script)
