no issues with this script for while now. wonder if it will be compliant to the new version of firefox.

does not work with the 'auto pager'

results are only blocked on the first page. with the 'auto pager', but each page thereafter will not be blocked.

i've been a big advocate of this script.

for some reason... perhaps a limitation of
the amount characters, or words permitted for
HideWords...
it nolonger works properly.

as a result. goodbye digg. :(

awesome script man. no more iphone/halo bullshit on my digg!!

this script makes digg cool again! all political crap is filtered out, and now thanks to the mod; it will filter by user name !!

fyi;

you know only a handful of people post the political stories, and it comes as no surprise
that they are members of political campaign sites. it's a team of people and they do nothing but post & repost articles across the web all day long.

i think there are about 3 different groups that do it, and between them they cover most popular social sites. it's already being taught in 'political science' at most universities.

these teams hit the same places:
digg.com, del.icio.us, reddit.com, myspace and a dozen more. if the article descriptions didn't vary between posts i could almost call them bots.
blog upon blog.

once you hit the top social sites... some regular users will post in their other forums,
and e-mail. thats where you get increased
momentum.

incidentally; it's the most affordable way to
conduct a smear campaign. the web is great for
this.

if you are online day-to-day; you'll start spotting them.

any way...
thats why scripts like this are useful!

Thanks for taking over my script, it was good, but I quit reading digg. Too many political stories and fanboy comments. Now that most of the fanboys have moved to Digg, I'm back to reading slashdot...much better content.

this is GREAT! don't suppose there is a way
to block out the top-10 articles based on the hidewords??

Hi John_Za,
I'm guessing you've never used Digg Washer before either?
Anyway, click the "Show Options" button near the top, to the left of "Most Recent", "Top in 24 Hr", etc. To add a "hide word", "topic", or "user" to filter, enter the text in the Digg search box, then click "Add Topic", "Add Hideword", or "Add User".

Apologies if I missed something obvious, but where do I add the words and usernames to be blocked?

BOO YA!!! THANK YOU!!!!
