@adavis519: I'll look into this. I don't really use Facebook much, so I don't notice if there are any bugs. If I find a problem though, I'll look at fixing it ASAP. |

sorry about that! this one is actually relevant to the script! (i hope...) the script lets me see photos from an album that were then added to a group's album, but when i hit the "see this photo in its Album" link and the "Back to Album" link, the only photo that would load would be the one I could already see. Why is this? Is there any way to manipulate the script to get around this? why only the group photo? Thanks. |

@Chuck77, Littlehelp, adavis519, Dannyboy70, sharonk: If you don't have any comments relevant to this script (or indeed, to any Greasemonkey script), please can you post in the forums instead. The comments that you are making seem much more suited to somewhere that conversations can be encouraged rather than on this page. |

Littlehelp, I tried this urlscanner, but the concept isn't working. I tried a variety of photoid #'s that the subject was tagged in...some come up, some don't even though I have a specific id# and I know they are in photo. I think because you have to log into FB to do this, their security setting for the "viewing as" person are somehow still intact, even if that's not part of the url....and is somehow linked also to the network they are part of. If the person isn't in a network its impossible! Thanks for the tip though..if you come up with a way around it, let us know! |

This script has been good to me so I signed up just to post this to help. This may be just what all of you are looking for concerning viewing all pictures and albums of a private user. It's long and time consuming and a little confusing but it works, ask if you have questions.... Ok. Say you want to view all the private albums/photos of user "Bob". Bob has his profile set to private so you don't have access to his profile and therefore don't have access to his albums/photos. However, you do have access to some of "Bob's" friends profiles, "Jack" and "Jill" . You go to "Jack" or "Jill's" profile page and see that Bob has tagged Jack in a photo. By clicking on that photo you get a url similar to this.... facebook.com/photo.php?pid=34046338&op=3&o=global&view=global&subj=226000117&id=BOB'SID Use this script and click the "See this photo in its album" at the top of the picture. That will reduce the url to... facebook.com/photo.php?pid=34046338&id=BOB'SID (here's where it gets complicated) USE THIS fusker website...... http://urlscan.hierzo.be/ In the upper left-hand corner of this website is where you will input.....
upon entering that in the URL space hit the "refresh" button (NOT YOUR BROWSER REFRESH BUT THE TAB LABELED "Refresh". The original picture that Bob tagged Jack in should pop up on the screen also the URL in the upper left hand corner will have changed to....facebook.com/photo.php?pid=34046338&id=[BOB'SID] Notice the brackets around "BOB'SID"???...You need to remove those brackets and place them as follows.... facebook.com/photo.php?pid=[3404633]8&id=BOB'SID Now notice how the brackets enclose the first 7 of the 8 numerical digits in the picture id (pid). The last digit of the pid is always left UNBRACKETED and "BOB'SID" is also UNBRACKETED. Now, You'll see tabs reading "previous" "next" "AutoPrev" "AutoNext" Click the "Next" tab and the URL: should now read...
What you just did was jump ahead in Bob's private photo's by 10 pictures. So now instead of seeing "photo 5 of 30"...you see "photo 15 of 30". You can put brackets around the entire pid as follows...
If you hit the"refresh" and then the "Next" tab the URL: will then read...
By bracketing all digits of the pid you go up or down Bob's private photos by 1 picture with each press of the "next" or "previous" tab. Using this method of going up/down by 1 picture by repeatedly clicking "next"/"previous" guarantee's you will eventually see every private picture in Bob's albums. However, by leaving the last digit UNBRACKETED you can go up or down by 10 pics and work quicker while still having a high probability of stumbling onto more of "Bob's" private photos. Ok. Confusing parts over. Use this method of repeatedly clicking "next" or "previous" going up/down by increments of 10 photos. Say Jack was tagged in a photo by Bob 1 year ago and you want to see all of Bob's pictures since then. Simply click on the photo from a year ago and follow the steps above using the fusker website given
One final note: The pid number follows a direct correlation to the date it was posted. For example facebook.com/photo.php?pid=30247804&id=BOB'SID was posted on OCTOBER 2nd facebook.com/photo.php?pid=30249217&id=BOB'SID was posted on OCTOBER 5TH So for every 3 days the pid number increases by ABOUT 1400. Use this information to your advantage. If Jack was just tagged by Bob yesterday, it won't make any since to repeatedly hit the "next" tab . Instead use the "previous" tab and work backwards. However if you suspect BOB just uploaded some halloween pics and you want to see them. You know that the OCT 5th pid was 304249217 and Halloween was on the 31st (26 days from the 5th). Using simple math, and knowing 3 days roughly equals an increase in the pid by 1400. That means 26 days=+12,200. You can expect to find BOB'S halloween photos on or around pid=304261417. But remember if you go up/down by increments of 10 and use the "AUTONEXT" tab the time will fly by. Your going to get a lot of pages reading "THIS CONTENT IS CURRENTLY UNAVAILABLE" during the url scan. Don't worry. Just keep clicking the "next" "previous" tabs and you will eventually stumble upon all of Bob's private photos. But like I said just start on a photo with a date along time ago and use the "AutoNext" and let your computer do all the work while you keep an eye on it as it scrolls the URL. P.S I HAD TO REMOVE ALL OF THE HTTP://WWW PRIOR TO "FACEBOOK" WEBSITE SO YOU GUYS COULD SEE THE ENTIRE URL. YOU MUST BE SIGNED INTO FACEBOOK FOR THIS TO WORK. IF YOUR CONFUSED OR IT'S NOT WORKING FOR YOU LEMME KNOW I CAN HELP. |

@* ich * : As far as I am aware, there is no way to bypass Fecebook's security. This script will not be able to show you anything you couldn't view already. |

when i clicked view all images, it just redirected me back to the main photos page starting on page 1. The page doesnt list out all the images on one page. or is it because the userscript doesnt show photos that other peoples album put as private when tagged? im using mozilla 3.0.3 btw |
|
|
@takanoma: In what way is it not working? Also, it might help if you try refreshing the page you expect it to load on first. |

Great script, but after enabling it I can't seem to use my laptop touchpad's scroll region anymore. I disabled the script and it works again though. Was anybody experiencing a similar problem? |

Further to Petoe's post below. I have found images using the javascript fusker but the image you find is very small. He says use different letters to change the pic size but in this album they are all numbers like the example he uses http://photos-144.ll...... Is there anyway of viewing this photo its its larger form? thanks :-) |

Slightly O/T:
Thought you or someone else reading this may be interested, as it'll probably be a while before I start work on the decoding. If/when I get anything else you could use, I'll be sure to send it your way. |

Martin, yeah ... I'm so sorry about this. I really meant to sort that out for you but I guess I completely forgot. Good to hear Facebook have brought that back though. |
