@Gabriello
I am aware of that error as well as a few others (however, I do not think that error could effect video quality, but I will be sure to check). They have all been fixed and will be include in the 2.1.0 update. The problem is my wireless internet decided to stop working on my laptop at the university so I can't upload it right now. I'm on a library computer lol. However, I'm going home tomorrow and after I do a little final testing I will be sure to post the update.

I am getting this error from Facebook

Error: document.body is null

The error message appears when schanging pages within facebook.
The link works fine and the video works well although the video loses quality.

Thanks cool Plug in

MJKaz - Yeah there were some problems with the wizard again. I fixed it. Reinstall the script and let me know how it goes.

You are a true genius, great script.

i'm a complete technology illiterate. and i need help. why cant i install this script?

MJKaz User

Well I think I have the latest version of the script (see my September 10th comment below), but it isn't important enough to me right now to do anything about it.

But here is a very strange thing: when I click on the Customize Code button, nothing happens, but when I click on the link "Back to My Videos", the popup is partially visible at the bottom of the screen on the "My Videos" page, and scrolling brings the whole popup into view.

Is that odd or what?!

Its not a real popup so your pop-up blocker wouldn't block it anyway. Are you sure you have installed the lastest version of my script. The code customizer wasn't working for a long time and only till recently did I fix it. Please reinstall the script and let me know how it goes.

MJKaz User

Then Customize Code doesn't work for me. I never see the popup. Perhaps my popup blocker is getting in the way? I just went into my Content options for FF and added www.new.facebook.com to the pop-up blocker exceptions and still no difference. I restarted FF and still no difference.

A window should popup over the video allowing you to change the video resolution.

MJKaz User

When I brought up FF today it told me a new version of the script was available (presumably with your customization fix) and so I installed it.

I don't see any difference in the "Customize Code" behavior (what should happen when I click on that?)

TIA

I just fixed the video customization wizard! I learned that you can't depend on Facebook for parts of your script at all! Its nice to know my users will get the update soon because I have an auto update script.

MJKaz User

Thank you! I got it to work now. I suppose I should have taken a closer look at the script source and I coulda figured that out for myself.

Thanks again!!!

omfg I'm so sorry. I've feel like such and idiot. I went back and looked at the script and its actually flashvars="video_autoplay=1&video_src=http%3A%2F%2Fvideo.....
You do not urlencode the ampersands of the flashvars

to get rid of the next video link just remove the "next_video_url=%2Fvideo%2Fvideo.php%3Fv%3D72084865709" part of the flashvars. of course you wouldn't need to know any of this if I had the video customize up and running.

MJKaz User

Hrmm.

Neither flashvars="autoplay=1&video_src=http%3A nor flashvars="autoplay=1%26video_src=http%3A work for me.

If I don't URL encode the ampersand I don't get autoplay, and if I do URL encode it I don't get anything showing in the player.

flashvars="autoplay=1&video_src=http%3A%2F%2Fvideo.....

MJKaz User

Okay, I must be dense this week; I'm still missing something. I've changed flashvars="video_src=http%3A%2F%2Fvideo...... to flashvars="autoplay=1%3Bvideo_src=http%3A%2F%2Fvideo...... and then it doesn't show up at all.

If I move the autoplay=1 to the end (and move the %3B in front of it) it does show up, but it doesn't autoplay.

I'm so confused.... TIA for your help. And thanks for the script too!

sizzlemctwizzle Script's Author

@MJKaz
The flashvar to control auto play is "autoplay=1". As for the Customize Code button, its broken and I can't seem to figure out how to fix it.

sizzelmctwizzle:

Regarding your comment of August 13, I'm having problems understanding how to get the autoplay working. I'm guessing it has something to do with the Customize Code button, but when I click on that nothing happens using FF3.0.1. Am I missing something? TIA!

Also, does anyone know why the still image that facebook shows while the play button is displayed isn't the first frame of the movie? Is there anyway to control that?

Thanks again.

@DannyMazz
Press Ctrl + Alt

@Lizkel
I have no idea when it comes to sound. Its either a problem with the video or your computer. As for the embed codes not showing up: press Ctrl + Alt

Lizkel User

I'm trying to download videos from a message, but when I do there is no sound. I also had the same issue using the daniel poon lifehacking method. What's going on?

Also, the "download video" and embed codes don't show up on longer messages (like when I have to click "View Entire Thread"), even after I select "Auto Update Facebook Video".

DannyMazz User

This script is not working at all for me, im using Firefox 3.0 and i have tried both facebook and the new facebook, the script is enabled as is greasemonkey, but i still see no download button on any video, what am i doing wrong?

sizzlemctwizzle Script's Author

This script works with the new version of Facebook. It works fine with Firefox 3. I'm still working on getting the customize wizard up and running again.

@Yonk autoplay=1

Thomas Henry User

I'm running FF3 and just installed the latest version of this script. When I go to view videos it shows me that they're still processing (though people have watched and commented), and if disable the script and sign out of facebook and back in, the videos work. I'm not sure if this is true for all videos, yet.
