Big issue with this. When this script is enabled and I load an rss page, that's any page with an .xml, .rss, atom, .asp, ?output=rss, or any of a number or standards I get a error window saying "Ugh". I believe this is the same problem reported here: http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?t=3... Hope this can be fixed soon, until then I've added all those formats to the excluded pages list. Heya Dave. The converter is simply a DIV container on the page which is hidden using the style.display setting. If you disable styles you'll see it regardless. If it really bothers you I could probably make a change to put it at the end of the page but it'll still be visible with styles disabled. Good to hear you're using it tho! |

I use this as my currency converter over all the other options available for firefox, but one problem is that some of the code appears on the page when you disable css stylesheets, or ctrl+A the page |

You sure did help! Perfect now!! This is a very valuable and much appreciated script. Thank you very much! |

One other thing you might like to try... see if you can hit the reference URL directly. e.g. http://quote.yahoo.com/m5?a=1&s=USD&t=CAD |

The only times I got a zero response was when I selected a non-numeric value. Even if I selected a value with a $ sign or some other such thing I'd still get the correct value back. I just tried on this page and converted the number 6 (times this script has been viewed ;) to 7.01 (USD > CAD). Hope this helps! |

Hello Michael, Doesn't work for me. I configured the "Current Conversion Preference is" to be from USD to CAD. Holding down ALT brings up the window and the amount I've highlighted is correctly identified. I tried it half-a-dozen times on as many sites with different monetary figures and the result was always the same when I clicked on Convert: 0.00. Ron |
