This script did not work for me on firefox 3, so I made one that did work called "Google Search- Keep Date Dropdown" http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/35538

Great script! Saves me the trouble of clicking on Advanced Search to set the time range. The only problem I have is that whatever I set then becomes the default for all future searches. I would prefer to keep 'anytime' as the default since it's used most often, rather than having to reset it back each time. Still, this script is very handy!

There was a bug in the script that is updated in the latest release.
Bug description "When I search from Google's SERP and select "anytime", the script doesn't respect my choice and uses my previous option."
Thnaks to Alex Chitu from the http://googlesystem.blogspot.com for pointing that out.
