A similar feature is now available in gmail, no need for greasemonkey. Make sure you're using the "newer version" of gmail, click settings, click labs, and enable "signature tweaks".

just upgraded to gmail v2.0 and now it doesn't work with the old Greasemonkey either.

I've just installed the version you said - script doesn't work anyways

scratch that...works great...needed to uninstall/reinstall

This script works great if you're using Greasemonkey Version 0.7.20070607.0 — June 7, 2007 — OR EARLIER.

It doesn't work with the current version out. I am only using the HTML portion of this script...can't speak to any other functions.

If would be great if this script was compatible with the new GM.. I dread everytime an updates comes out !

hi esko and mike,

thanks for giving a try to my script.

As I said to Stephanie:

"It doesnt work with the new version of Gmail.

You can easily check if you have the new version:
if there is a link called "Older version" on the right top of the page, then it is the new version."

I will try to find something about MAC compatibility.

regards

I have been waiting for this one!
Unfortunately I can't make it work on a Mac.
Tested on both Intel and PPC, Mac OS X 10.4.11, Firefox 2.0.0.12, Gmail 2.0
Uninstalled the previous version before installing the new one, relaunched Firefox, no luck.
Thanks in advance for fixing this...!

Hi Rafael,

Thanks for creating this script. I am trying to help my sister, who has a mac use it on her computer. everything is installed, including GM, but nothing looks different in the settings area of gmail or the compose screen.

Does this work on a mac...?

btw, she restarted her mac and firefox.

Thanks!

I am postponing the update to the next saturday (15/02/08)

Thanks for the info.

I reverted to "Older Version" and it's working beautifully!

I'd much rather have Signature Float than color labels. Although, both would be nice...someday. :-)

I will try to post an update saturday to put the "Remove Dashes" and "Allow Html" working again.

It doesnt work with the new version of Gmail.

You can easily check if you have the new version:
if there is a link called "Older version" on the right top of the page, then it is the new version.

Otherwise make sure you have refreshed the page after installing the script.

And you also have to uninstall the previous version.

Hello! I need some help, please.

I installed the latest version of Greasemonkey and installed this script. Yes, when I open Gmail, nothing is any different on my settings page and my sig still shows up at the bottom.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks!!!

Can you do something about the two dashes GMail automagically inserts before the signature?

Thank you for updating this script!

This workaround make the option allowHtml always applied and the option "remove dashes" never applied. I will update it within next 30 days with some better code and fully functional.
