I just wrote a similar script for viewing slate.com in single page format that alters the current address instead of the inbound link: http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/36256. This takes care of the whole not-getting-single-pages-from-the-flyout-menu-or-inbound-rss problem! There is a slight flicker when you initially land on a page and it refreshes to single page view, but I find it an improvement for my own use at least.

If you want single page rss links, try out this Yahoo Pipe: http://pipes.yahoo.com/pipes/pipe.info?_id=1prK...

This doesn't seem to work for me on links from the RSS feed (format: http://www.slate.com/id/2164960/fr/rss/)

I like this script very much. How hard would it be to add something to remove that obnoxious ad that you get when you go to Slate's homepage now -- the one that scrolls your screen down and back up in a few seconds?

This works well for me, except when using the "Also in Slate" links at the bottom of the articles.

Thanks for your efforts!

PS - Thanks for the bug report. (I obviously never click the "Today's Pictures" link...) Version 0.2 has been updated so that this script will ignore links to "Today's Pictures".

The only bad thing is it breaks the "Today's Pictures" link from the front page. Other than that, this is good. I've been using it with the slate minimalist script - http://userstyles.org/style/show/968

Thanks!
