You know, I'm going to be using the old version of Gmail until this script is updated. It's absolutely critical to the way I function when it comes to email. I don't know if it's relevant to what you've done to make this script work, but there's an unofficial Greasemonkey API with documentation at http://code.google.com/p/gmail-greasemonkey/wik... . It was written by Mihai Parparita of Gmail Macros etc. fame. Hope that'll give you some ideas! Thanks for a really great script! |

You would think the "geniuses" at Google would've added the signature float functionality (along with multiple signatures, etc.) to the new version of Gmail. Let's come up with a fix fast. Cutting-and-pasting stinks. |

It has stopped working for me, today. I really hope it gets fixed soon. |

Yeh, its broken :( |
|

It seems to be broken with the new version of Gmail. |

One feature wish: on reply and forward, if my signature is already present in the mail, then don't add it again... |

FANTASTIC Script!!! Thanks for all your hard work Jim! |

Please think twice before you disable the dashes. They're actually two dashes, a space, and a carriage return. It's called "sig dashes" and is an Internet standard that has been around for about two decades. Most mailers look for the sig dashes and can do special things with the signature such as hide it, display it in a lighter color so it's clear that it's not part of the main message, or remove it when replying to a message (so you don't have a bunch of signatures in a thread). Disabling these dashes does a disservice to the people whom you email. Please don't disable them. They are there for a reason. |

Don't worry about the post stating it doesn't work with the latest better gmail - somehow my "allow HTML" in sig setting got turned off. I'd still love to see that feature request implemented though... ;) |

Tim - I got your script via the Lifehacker better GMail. It worked great for a while, but with the latest version of better GMail, it seems to have broken the HTML support. It still shows up at the top, but in text mode. The Lifehacker folks say they didn't touch anything with this script, so I figured I'd check with you. Also, one feature request. It would be awesome to have an option to not include a signature on replies or forwards - meaning I only want it to show up on new messages. Any chance of getting that in there? Thanks! |

Tim, I signed up to this site just to say "Thank you." Your script is seriously a great solution to a HUGE problem to me with gmail. I really appreciate you taking the time to do it and do it right! Way to go, Tim! =) Mike Cowles.

Nice script, but unfortunately it appears to be broken under Gran Paradiso 3.0a4. Maybe it's due to Gran Paradiso being in alpha stage yet.. |

|
|
Excellent script--- very useful! don't understand why it's not by default... |
|
|
is it possible to add javascript to your signature? |
|
|
Really great userscript - I've been using it for nearly a year and is one of those scripts that you almost forget isn't default in gmail. Great to see it still being worked on too. |

Nice script. Works fine when using Gmail in english but the options in 'Settings' disappears when using any other languages. Though the scripts it self works in any language if first configured with english Gmail. |

Hello, I was wondering if anyone knows of a script to force a spell check before gmail sends out a message. I keep forgetting and something like what Outlook does would be really nice. |
