SOLUTION BY GOOGLE:

Has anyone figured out a work-around for google apps email? |
New Firefox add-on for gmail HTML signatures: http://blankcanvasweb.com/pages/detail/id_9/n_g... Signature above quoted text isn't supported quite yet, but should be within a week or so. |
If all you want is a floating signature, you can forget greasemonkey, because this feature is finally available in gmail. Make sure you're using the "newer version" of gmail, click settings, click labs, and enable "signature tweaks". |
Actually...you don't need this plugin anymore. There is a new script written to include HTML in the Gmail signature that also allows you to insert it at the top of the email with a simple click. Here is the link to the script:

Please, please update this script to work with Gmail 2 and allow it to be used by http://lifehacker.com/software/gmail |

I made a workaround to make it compatible with new GraaseMonkey: http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/21748 But I had to fix the allowHtml and removeDashes options. So I choosed to mark allowHtml always true and removeDashes always false. I will make the code better soon. And I will also make it fully functional. |
Use this instead... it's not "AS NICE" as this script was, but it works great... just saw it on lifehacker.com today... http://lifehacker.com/348498/add-multiple-addre... |

new GreaseMonkey update breaks this script. revert to v0.7.20070607.0 here (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addons...) for it to work. |
Aargh! The Greasemonkey update of 21 Jan breaks this script, even with UK settings. |
Awesome script. I switched to UK settings to avoid Gmail 2. Be aware that the new version of Greasemonkey may disable this script. I had to revert to previous version of Greasemonkey. |

I check this page every day. Still no update. My signature looks so stupid with those HTML tags that I refuse to delete. |
There is one script for Gmail 2 in http://cybernetnews.com/2007/11/09/html-signatu... Best regards |
this is a GREAT script. my only complaint is that "remove signature on replies & fwds" results in the quoted message being removed as well.
@jetpeach: How about getting them to add all the features? HTML, move-to-top, and (my God, it's been so long I've forgotten!) removing the dashes. Not allowing HTML sigs is pretty crippling, IMHO. Other than that, I love Gmail. |
yep, definitely desperate for a new version, although it'd be even better if google would just add the simply option of "place reply above text"... sooo stupid that they haven't yet! others who feel the same way, post something in this thread, maybe they'll eventually get the point and add a programmer to this problem. |
Pleas,
Thanks for your work. |
pa-pa-please!!!! new gmail. I can't go on living without this script! lol, thanks for your hard work, I'm just spoiled now that I've had this for so long. |
New gmail... please :-) |
This is great, my only comment is that it doesn't work with foxytunes "Now Playing" signature.
dude... please fix this for the new gmail... i need it |
Sorry, I lied. I'm using the new interface for its speed and new keyboard shortcuts. I'm still hanging on the edge of my chair waiting for an upgrade, though. Make sure to drop a line by Lifehacker when you're done; I think Gina's anxious to put your script back into Better Gmail 2. :) |
