Hey, I just updated the "Better Gmail 2" and found out that this feature is gone. I loved it so much. How can I get it back or at least roll back to the older version?

This script is no longer necessary. This is the best way to set Gmail as Firefox 3's default mailto link handler: http://lifehacker.com/392287/set-firefox-3-to-l... |

Hi I just downloaded Better Gmail 2, primarily for this feature...The first site that I tested this on however, it did not work. I have tried it on other sites and it worked, but this one here: http://www.chicagogsb.edu/faculty/bio.aspx?pers... doesnt work and it still opens up outlook. Not sure if there is an issue ASP or something like that, and if anyone has encountered this or has a fix for otherwise works great so far...thanks! |

Any chance this can also be set to allow R-click "send link" to send via gmail? It opens an unconfigured Outlook Express window at this time. Excellent script - thanks. |

Sorry...delete my earlier comment...it works...it seems I have to already have my inbox window open...if I do that it opens a new Firefox tab witht he compose window all ready to go. |

I use Google Apps and it correctly goes to the correct Inbox but does not open the compose window...is this normal? The original Mailto script also does not open the compose window for me either.... I have tried turning keyboard shortcuts on and off... |

I just tried this; it's very nicely working for me. |

Will this userscript work for manually entering a mailto into the Firefox address bar...? I have an AutoIT program (complainterator.com) that does mailto's this way... When I tested it, it opened outlook 2007. |

That's exactly the code I added... is it not working for you? |

I'm sorry; but the d@#ned thing won't let me write the example! This is my last try! Just put it in the usual !! mailto:myspouse@gmail.com?cc=myself@mycompany.com&bcc=myaccountant@duey.cheatem.and.howe.net Thanks. P.S.: I wish I could edit or delete my other posts! |

You need to change the code as follows:
Then a statement such as the following WILL parse into TO:, CC: and BCC: entries: |

Just added support for BCC, parameters in upper case, and the new Gmail UI. Let me know what you think. |

This script breaks mailto links that pass the bcc: parameter. It looks like cc: is supported in the code, could you add bcc in there as well? Support for mailto links with a bcc is essential for using the online contact management service Highrise from 37signals. I posted this comment on Julien Couvrier's original version as well. |
