I believe this script is no longer necessary now. GMail has an HTTPS setting under General-->Browser Connection
Note: this is a feature of Better Gmail 2. If you already have this extension, you don't need this script. ;)
Absulutely good. This script is nice; it does what it says!!! Just a couple of ideas to make it even nicer!
Love it, but it causes an error that I only get the first time I view a message and then goes away.
Error trying to validate certificate from mail.google.com using OCSP - server error.
It could easily be a compatibility problem with another of my add-ons, but I haven't a clue which.

Very very useful! I didn't know https was available.
I also added http://www.google.com/calendar to the list.
