For anyone who's looking, I've uploaded my variation (proper credit given to Henrik, of course) in case anyone else wants to bottom post within the new interface.

Looks like the change was a simple one. Maybe Google modified the name/id of the textarea, but I changed the initial conditional to test for event.target.name != 'body' and that seems to work.

@Henrik:
v2 has been rolled out some (maybe most?) places, but I don't know whether it's in your region or not.

Since you're not using the Gmail UI any longer, I'll take a stab at making the changes. I was just being lazy and hoping you'd have nothing better to do. :-)

I've been looking for a reason to learn how to work with Greasemonkey, so maybe this is it...

Any chance you're considering an update to this for Gmail v2? Love the script and miss having my cursor where I want it. :-)
