haha indeed it is an ad. However, add: // @exclude http://www.myspace.com/ to the script so you can login again. |

I like this. It is much better than adblocker as it doesn't leave empty space. The only problem i have is with the new "powered by google" image myspace has put beside their search bar. For some reason when the ad slicer moves the objects up into the empty ad space, that image gets pushed down to where it's in-between the top links and the "Hello..." message, and pushes those around so that the top links are off centered (don't care about that too much) and the text of my name is wrapped into two lines (but that looks quite awkward: http://www.msandie.com/myspace/adslicer.jpg ). I am new to this kind of coding (i've altered a few scripts to my liking, but not actually made any of my own yet) and i'm not sure if this is fixable. But i'll point it out incase it is; it'd be nice if it was. |

Works really great. I love it. |

Good script. Works well and exactly as advertised. Thanks! |

I like this, is there any way to override myspace and make it so that everyone else can't see the ads? In the same kind of way that http://www.thebignoob.com/storage/myspace/desig... did.. myspace has since removed this ability. |

If you are concerned about bandwidth, security, and not contributing to the ad revenue to MySpace, then this script can be used in conjunction with adblock. Simply use the MySpace Adblock filters listed below, and this script will remove the spaces Adblock leaves behind. This script has been tested to be fully compatible with Adblock. P.S. Due to MySpace constantly changing the format of their pages, I have been releasing weekly updates to this script. So check back often (specifically on the Original Source Location) to install the latest version if the script stops working. Sorry for the inconvenience, but I am tring to make this script as intuitive as possible to get past the complete mess that is MySpace. |

Actually, you are correct. This works better than adblock in reclaiming that space. |
|
|
True, but adblock blocks iframes, scripts, etc.
It even works for reclaiming space from gmail ads, blocking google analytics, other analytics (traffic sites like alexa), etc.... It blocks _everything_, images, scripts, etc.... Once I discovered the power of adblock, I stopped using privoxy except for when I use the Tor onion router. |

This works better than simply blocking the ads, because it removes the spaces the ads would normally occupy. Thus, giving you more space on the page and less clutter. Plus, you don't need to keep your list of ad servers updated, since this script should work regardless of the companies who partner with Myspace. |

Sorry. Try here:
|
|
|
Just save this as a text file and import it into adblock

Adblock works better, and it will always work, if you block the images first, the block the iframes that contained the images. Saves bandwidth too! |
