Gotcha... a better place then would probably to
Each feed would load
as each feed completes loading, check to see if there are unread articles
if there are, expand the feed section
if there arent any unread feeds, collaps the feed section.

If you can, thanks! otherwise I'm using the +!

Thanks again!

@Paul Trevino
Theoretically this can be done if I would know enough Netvibes API, if there is any (not their public UWA API, but internal one, which I use now). But what do you mean by saying "tab loads"? Each feed's load time are different, so one need to know when this one feed is loaded or all tab's feeds are loaded. And there may be one slow feed which will prevent a tab to fire its "loaded" event...
Then, the script works with feeds that are on current tab only. It's possible to remove this restriction, and if you set up your account to load all tabs' content at login, then one script invocation will collapse all read feeds on all tabs.
Thanks for suggestion on my script's further automation, I'll see what I can do. In the meantime the "(+)" sign is still there.

This is great, but I'd love to have the script automatically execute when the page is loaded. So that when the netvibes tab loads, anything that doesnt have any unread articles automatically collapses. Any ideas on how to do this?

Thanks! Great Job on the script!

@Kirk L
It's two arrows at top-right corner of their interface near "Settings" and "Help" links. Up arrow collapses all widgets and down arrow expands them all. With my script there will be another active element (not so pretty-looking "(+)" without quotes), which do what it should.

Forgive me if I'm being a dunce, but I don't see any "Collapse All" and "Expand All" links. Where might they be? This script sounds useful and I'd like to see what it can do!

This adds a link next to "Collapse all" and "Expand all" arrows, which, when activated, searches for all "RssReader" modules on active tab and collapses feeds that have no unread articles; those who have unread items are left untouched.
