Brilliant idea! I personally hate kiddy speak. One I have noticed today has been the use of "mornin" instead of "morning". I'm not entirely sure whether than warrants what you were asking for, but I thought I'd post some here if I spotted them.

Changed or added most patterns benhaven suggested. The name initials is difficult.

Great script!
Here are some suggestions:
-IM (just like ID) when capitalized often stands for instant messenger, not I'm.
-kno for know (I'm glad to know this kids have saved themselves so much time by not typing the last letter. )
-thx for thanks
-I see you have programmed it to shorten !!!!! to just !, but can you also make it work for a string of !s that contain a 1 (!!!1!!)?
-this one may be tougher: "R. N. Smith" is displayed as "are. and. Smith". Is there a way to keep it from changing initials in names? Is there a way to identify names?
Thanks!

Added mi

mi should translate into my, unless the person who wrote it is stupid and wrote it in the third person

Fixed not to match all uppercase ID.

I really like this userscript!

I found another problem — Yahoo I'd. (It should be I D.)

Would mi translate to me or my?

Spartin92 User

This is a great idea, but can you make it in a later release so it does "mi", and others i can't think of now

I was wondering if I could advance on this userscript? please?
