I updated this today, and since i did that it doesn't work anymore. I use FF 1.0.7 and Greasemonkey 0.5.3 |

As it does! Great work! :) |

Alright that's cool. I hope the same will happen for me in 5 days, and thén it really is a superb script. :) Thanks A.W.! |

Mine has now moved forward and is currently compared to Dec 20 (1 month ago). As I check my page nearly every day I guess, from what Andrew said, that it will continue to roll forward. Mark |

So if I understand correctly, in about a week's time my charts will be compared to a date later than december 25th? But then what about those guys whose charts are compared to about 2 months ago? (like Mark_H) Anyway, I kinda have the feeling 30 days is a bit long, I think 7 would be better!

Every time someone visits a user's page my server stores a copy of the charts as they are on that day. The script then compares the current chart to the newest stored chart that is at least 30 days old. If noone visits your userpage for a few days then the charts aren't stored so the date to which the charts are compared against may be longer that 30 days ago. I can't do anything to do with when the charts were generated as Last.fm don't provide that information in their xml data. I chose 30 days because that gives quite a big time for changes, however I do admit that if you're a new user to Last.fm then the charts change a lot. It's a tricky balance to make. HTH,

Yes indeed. Is it possible to code that? Andrew Wilkinson or someone else maybe? Thanks! |

Mine is being compared to some time in November 2005 - probably the first time I ran the script? I would definately prefer the script to keep a rolling comparison, attempting to keep within the last month for comparison, ie, jan 2006 compared against dec 2005, feb 2006 compared against jan 2006 and so on... |

thx a lot!!! my overall-charts are compared with december 6th... |

Hey, it's still working fine, but I have an other question: on the overall top artists chart, it still says "Generated: Saturday Jan 7 (Sunday Dec 25)" (http://www.last.fm/user/jellevc). I assume this means he compares the current stats to those on Sunday Dec 25, and calculates the chart changes since that date?

Yeah, it's working again. Seemed to be a problem with the indiegigs site. |
mine appears to be working fine. was not showing overall stats this morning but it is now. Reckon the XML feed was down rather than a script problem though. |

:( |

Seems to be broken again |
Working again - you rock :D Mark |

*tracks :) |

Thanks, works again now! Well... kinda, only on Weekly Top Aracks. The chart changes on the Overall Top Artists and Overall Top Tracks aren't displayed. :( |

I've updated the script here to work with FireFox 1.5. That'll fix the problems with DOMParser. I'm working on bringing indiegigs.co.uk back up, something odd happened over Christmas and I've only just had a chance to investigate it. |
There's a javascript error on DOMParser() on the line:
Same problem that Brian had back on December 1st, the author's site also seems to be down, so I don't know if it's been fixed elsewhere. |
Damn, that was a really handy script, too. |
I think it's not working because the indiegigs site is down and it's trying to grab an image from there. |
Ditto, doesn't work for myself either. Guessing the last.fm feeds have changed as they seem to do on a regular basis. |
Broken for me now with the last couple of updates, including Jan 3rd. |
i've got the same problem now |

Great script!! It used to work perfectly, on the Weekly top artists, Overall top artists and Overall top tracks. Or in short: on all available user stats (haven't tried on group charts). But since yesterday these stats aren't shown anymore!! I use Firefox 1.5 and Greasemonkey 0.6.4. What's wrong?!
