chromium, webM and skipping ahead

Jul 19, 2012 8:00am saren89 User	love the script but i have an issue in chromium and chrome but not firefox, the the plugin for webM loads totem player dosnt not allow skipping ahead until that part is loaded, while in firefox there is no issue. am i doing something wrong? thanks

Jul 19, 2012 4:45pm sebaro Script's Author	Hi I don't know why totem behaves differently with chrome/ium. Maybe increasing or decreasing buffer size helps. Try dconf-editor. You can try to open the browser in a terminal and see if there are any warnings/errors from the totem plugin. You can also try other video plugins, like gecko-mediaplayer, vlc-npapi or HTML5's video plugin.

Jul 20, 2012 7:45am saren89 User	i installed the vlc-npapi which allows skipping ahead. i noticed that the script doesnt handle playlists, i assume they use flash for it but it would be nice to have seen that on the script front page. still this script is amazing will recommand this script to people i know

Jul 20, 2012 8:33am sebaro Script's Author	It doesn't work for playlists as the flash player, but it should work if you open each video from the playlist in a new tab/window.
