hey guys does anyone know how to appear in the cool people section of myspace?? |
|
|
the white space left behind, after seeing cool new people load up, then disappear is more annoying than the occasional hot chick being there. i dunno if i dig this. if there was no evidence left of the cool new people box, i would like it. buts its still there, you just cant see it....... |

Scripts works fine for me, and I like it. Something I've always wanted. |

Well, I take back my previous comment. Things are not so straightforward as they might appear... one moment I updated the script and it was working, now it's not... maybe I need to restart... who knows--I'll fiddle with it. At any rate, I thought I would also post this url which you can adblock, which will at least keep the Cool New People frame from loading anything if the coders change their format again and break the scripts. Of course, they could change the script name too but here you go: http://viewmorepics.myspace.com/js/coolNewPeopl... |

Thanks Myke... your line of code saved me a lot of time. I think I accidently updated the wrong script with that code (the other script "Cool New People Remover") but it works for both the login page and the regular MySpace pages so I'll just leave it. |

The script needs to be updated because the folks at myspace have begun updating pages to use divs and actual css (still ugly on the code side) but now cool new people is in a div with an id of splash_coolNewPeople. the script now only needs to be document.getElementById("splash_coolNewPeople").style.display = "none"; |

This doesn't seem to work for me. I wish it did, and I wish it was just combined with the other myspace "cool people remover" which actually does work but only on the homepage. |

Because nobody cares about some random people. I swear after about half a dozen Greasemonkey scripts for Myspace, the site starts looking decent. |

I have to ask: how might "Cool New People" be bothersome or offensive? |
