You may want to add an exclusion for *.xml, otherwise this breaks rendering for any XML with a URL or e-mail

LenR: I have created a script that does just that -- but only for email addresses: http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/23362

Great script! I'd love to see support to de-cr@pify email address insertions - i.e. turn bob<at>test.com (or {at} _at_ etc) into bob@test.com.
Anyone know what are the differences are between linkify ting (http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/2254) and linkify plus (http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/1352)? Only one I can see is that ting picks up links like google.com but nothing else.</at>

I have a problem... it only converts the start into an url.

For example: http://www.myspace.com/luttenbergerklug

I just get the link http://www.mysp

What can i do about it?

ldap, news, nntp, h**p, mailto, about, irc, and telnet are supported by Linkifier Plus

If anybody's interested.

Very good job, I love this script.
I made a version that also recognises links without protocol (very common too, just www.). As it is not a relevant change I hosted it else where http://vasco.flores.googlepages.com/linkifyplus... . The changes are marked with // @Vasco, and are compatible with your code, please feel free to include them in your code.

This script will match http, https, and ftp. That makes it better than Linkify but worse than Linkifier.

Could someone adapt this script (painfully I'm not able to...) to make it work with phone numbers like:
+43 (7248) 61504
+43 (7248) 602

THX

Brandon:
It will do more links, basically. It catches http:// https:// ftp:// and email addresses.

How is this different from linkify?

Great script... but please make it remove commas etc. (, . ! ?) at the end of an URL.
