but the message GM..sucessfully installed is gentle,, then i visit firefox, tools, GMonkey, manage scripts
the GMFrench Monkey is the first and only, it displays a 'list of authorized pages types, *fr/ etc.. i dont but dont see the meaning..
(any text belonging to any page browsed by Firefox is a goo place to use GMFrench no???

then,
i followed instructions, links, in disorder, on the very complex http://dictionnaire.mediadico.com/option
(ergonomically deficient for me , because computer dialogs was my first job in 1972..)
this is done,

so i got a 'one more tool-bar ' , i dont care the text area as i dont want to type,

then i mark a word (dbl klik) ,
then i inspect my right click ('contextual'..) where, disapointedly, nothing appear
then i clik the DICO icon, and HORROR !!!!! http://dictionnaire.mediadico.com/option AGAIN ??
i am very very far from "a "on the spot , never leave the page I was on" translator. " you were telling above.
sincerely i still hope that the "small floating pop op" will gently pop up.

it would be nice to have something similar to the contextual 'orthographic' pop up, where few correct words are displayed, and chosen at a clik then replaced in line..
it would be interesting too to have other (like synonyms, ..citations, slang, ) ... but for to day, i just need your "small floating pop op"

ps: the http://dictionnaire.mediadico.com/option is horrible! (sorry to be frank, it must be reviewed completely, the dialog are like spaghettis : many tails, no head, and too mmany links , very confusing and turning in rings all the time, sorry

the project of your contextual translate of french>english is very very useful , i'd love using it because i want to increase my english capability, so when i 'think' french , i write the french word , then i right-click on it ,, and one (or a list) of english equivalent is offered

Wonderful tool. It's great to be reading along on lemonde.fr, and be able to translate remarks about international law & diplomacy without having to dig for a dictionary.

There is a puzzle for me--I can't figure out the display how to display the translation history mentioned in these comments. If I can get that, I can build a set of study notes.

Excellent script, I'll try to invert the translation ... I am French. Thanks again for this script.
