I am looking for a Greasemonkey script that automatically switches to the highest quality version of a video when I am viewing content on YouTube.

• YouTube HD Suite was fine until recently but now it has stopped working and since it hasn't been updated since August 2011, I am not holding much hope for it to be updated any time soon.
• YouTube Enhancer ruined the YouTube video page layout and didn't automatically switch to the highest video for me.
• Yays! (Yet Another Youtube Script) didn't automatically switch to the highest video for me, although I believe it was meant to.

I have set YouTube settings to "Always choose the best quality for my connection and player size" but this never works, which is why I am intending to use a Greasemonkey script.

Any suggestions?

Hi,
why not do a search on the scripts page e.g.: http://userscripts.org/scripts/search?q=youtube...=

and check out the most simplest one, that's said to work with playlists too:
Simplest YouTube HD - http://userscripts.org/scripts/reviews/123156

if you don't mind the page reloading this should work pretty long and stable ;-)
