don't know if someone is still interested, anyway I wrote a script like this working on the current gmail 2. I really liked it so I wrote my version as soon as this one stopped working. I hope it will be useful for someone else too. you'll find mine here on userscripts.

Gmail has changed a lot of code and now this script don't changes the color of the button.

Good script!
The only thing is that after you use the delete button it goes back to black... but I'm not sure if you can do anything about that (apart from reloading the page...)

Hello RyanML. You can change the shape and font. Just edit script and change the vars: var ESTILO to 1 and var CORFUNDO1 to "". If you need some help, mail me.

it is a great idea but it doesn't match the other buttons and is ugly. i think if it had the same shape and font as the other buttons but was just colored red it would be better

Suggestion: Please add a "D" keyboard shortcut to the delete button.

HMallin, This error is not in this script. Maybe in some extension or another script... Did you install some extension or script when this stopped working?

Here is working fine in 2 different machines. What's happen ? Show any message at javascript console ?
More somebody have problems ? Pls, report here.

Great script! Helps with the visibility. I was glad they finally added the delete button, but the made the font less bold than the Archive button.
