I'm pleased to report, that Site Advisor issue has been fixed. Great job! |

McAfee Site Advisor - still same thing |
|
|
Could you make it more compatible with this script??

The invisible hover in the "More" menu is not completely fixed (at least on my PC). This is how the default Google Toolbar behaves ==> http://img266.imageshack.us/my.php?image=fixedt... This is how the Google Toobar behaves with this script active ==> http://img440.imageshack.us/my.php?image=fixedt... Using Firefox 3.0.3 on Windows XP. |

I installed these extensions, got their z-index, and pushed mine over those values. So we should be fine with Site Advisor & Googlepedia. The invisible hover in the more menu has been fixed. And I put in a hack to prevent surf canyon from pushing the search box down (it's not a perfect solution, but it suffices). |

Googlepedia problem not fixed... |

Unfortunately, McAfee Site Advisor issue is not fixed. |

Okay, I'm hoping the most recent (very minor) change fixed the Site Advisor and Googlepedia problems. If not, let me know. If you are reporting a problem where something floats over the topbar (and you use something like Firebug and you know a bit about css) please report the z-index of these elements. The only way I can beat them is to guarantee my z-index is greater. I've put it at a fairly high value already, so hopefully that fixes the problems. Guess we'll see. |

Another small glimpse. Selection in "more" menu is not visible. http://img76.imageshack.us/my.php?image=fixedto... In the above screenshot "Blog" voice menu is not visible. |

Very nice script. However, if you have McAfee Site Advisor installed, it moves with the background:

another bug: does not work with "Googlepedia" the inserted wikipedia article ignores the topbar! see: http://img384.imageshack.us/img384/6281/goho4.jpg |

bug report: if you have installed FF extension "Surf Canyon" and you click on a bulls eye logo in the search results, the topbar moves moves upwards. |

Thanks RNiK for pointing me to the script update checker. It's been installed. Also just added Products to the list of search flavors that GSFT covers. |

Just upgraded, even better script than before: great job! Perhaps you should point out that this script works not only on Google.com but on Google International domains too (example .co.uk, .it, .es, ecc...). Another suggestion: use Script Update Checker to make users always up to date. |

Just released version 1.0.0. This is a fairly significant overhaul of the CSS loading method. Makes things easier for adding new rules, so I'll be able to add Product, Group, etc searches fairly quickly. The other Fixed Topbar scripts will be deleted shortly, pointing instead to this page. |

works great! thank you! your script is one of the most powerful and useful ones for GM. keep on like that ;) |

hanns, looks like that functionality on the search results page was part of Customize Google (took me a bit to figure that out). Added a new rule so it should work fine now. |

I just discovered that Google Suggest's suggestion box, which drops down below the search field, moves with the background (as you see here Please have a look at that problem. Thank you |

hi, sorry for spamming the comment zone of this script but as you are a fan of Smart Google Subsciber, you might like to know it was updated to version S-0.5... |

would it be possible to add the fixed topbar to google image search? |

Per Dink's request, I made GSFT a bit more compatible with Google iSearch Dark + Enhancements. It's not perfect, but any two scripts that simply load styles are always going to have a bit of a conflict. The way I solved this one was by pumping the specificity of my styles WAY up. Basically overrode the other script's styles. Some of the Dark styling comes through, but for the most part, it's GSFT's styling. I did improve some of the overall style along the way, too. Just to make things a tad more visually appealing. |
