Can anyone confirm this? before I know it's my own problem and spend time to dig out the cause

custom size of the player just won't work beyond default, 1.25, 1.5, 1.75, etc...
the size of player will remain to youtube's "Large Player" while the video still goes larger/wider, thus the video gets cropped.

PS. FF v11.0

Thank you.

It looks like YouTube has updated the player, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't.

I believe this may or may not be a bug with youtube. See here: https://groups.google.com/a/googleproductforums...
I experienced the same issue and it caused issues with and without YousableTubeFix. The way I got around it was to leave the YousableTubeFix settings set to default for player size and then I implemented this fix: https://groups.google.com/a/googleproductforums... so that my "Large Player" stayed the same.

I too have the same bug. But to me it happens slightly differently. I tried to set it to 1.5x so that it has a resolution of 1280x720 on all videos. Some do scale correctly, but others stay at the 1x resolution like this one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iT1pTgU_N8c

Okay I just clicked the link again and now it resized correctly to 1.5x... I don't understand. It seems completely random. Any insight on this issue Mindeye?

And may I suggest an option to keep all videos in their native resolution?

I've been having trouble off and on. Ever since Youtube updated their player back in February (?) and when you go to view a Youtube video, it seems to be pretty random whether it will use the old format (compatible with YousableFix code) or the new format which isn't compatible. At first, I thought it was "every video uploaded after this date" but even some of my new videos that I've uploaded switch back and forth between Youtube play formats. It's frustrating for us, as users of the YousableFix Greasemonkey script, but you have to realize how much more frustrating it would be to the script author, constantly trying to keep up with Google changing around the Youtube code. Hopefully it will be ironed out soon enough.

Don't know what to say... the experience looks more like the forced HTML5 issue even if opted out of HTML5 program, but random. Can you all confirm it's not loading HTML5 when autoresizing works and it is when it doesn't?

Right now I'm using the User Agent switcher UAControl for youtube domain to force a Firefox 3 version, which doesn't support HTML5 and Youtube loads only the flash player. So far I haven't had any more trouble with any of the YousableTubeFix settings.

Just noticed this is an incompatible issue with YouTube Earth Hour (Dark Theme)(Stylish)

Not sure which causes it, this or EarthHour, but I'll try to give this issue to the author EarthHour as well.

Thank you.

I'm the author of YouTube Earth Hour (Dark Theme)(Stylish) - (now named YouTube Black 2013 - link still works). My style had an option to widen the suggested video sidebar which was causing a problem for NiGHTsC - I recently installed and really like YTF so I made that option compatible with YTF. I will make sure my style is compatible with the new YTF for the new layout. (I'm hoping Mindeye will allow the right sidebar to use the available display area - I'm not very good at style changes which effect the layout (by changing widths/positions etc))
