Gmail Air Skin

Adds a nice touch to your Gmail account. [UPDATED]

This script is a modified version of Gmail Air Skin. This script includes many different effects which include the following:
-Transparency Effects
-Message Hover Color
-Labels Are Red
-Hovered Labels Are Black
-More Rounded Corners

These are just a few of the differences and in addition to those there is an option to hide the total spam messages you currently have. Default hides the number but changing one word of the script will re-show the total amount.

Here is a sample picture.

Any further questions please feel free to leave comments or personally contact me at 2007CivicSi@gmail.com.

Thank you and I hope you like the script :)

ANY SUGGESTIONS PLEASE LEAVE COMMENTS TO LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU WANT TO SEE!

There is a script on this page that reloads the old Gmail, if you would like to continue using this. Although, an update compatible with new gmail would be ideal! :>

confirmed, gmail 2 breaks this....

(@script author, if you manage to get this working with gmail2, how hard would it be to get the original working as well ?? :D)

thnx

The latest update to Gmail either yesterday or today has broken the Gmail Air Skin, unfortunately. The font faces seem to be correct, but none of the highlighting or font colors are working correctly.

This Script ist almost perfect. But the ugly green frame around the labels should have another colour. Can anybody tell me how to mod the script, to turn the frames into a light red or something?

Would be great. Thanks, Flo.

This script has not noticeably affect the speed of gmail for me. Generally, gmail is slow but I think I isolated the problem by disabling each script and add-on one by one to the CustomizeGoogle add-on, which forces https.

I'm not sure about it being slower I have never noticed a difference. All it does is attached a CSS file to the Gmail page so it should not make a difference. I'll check the code to see if I can cut anything out.

I have been using this for a couple of days now - and I find it makes GMail noticably slower. Anyone else found this? Anything I can tweak to make it faster?

I added the code to hide your spam count and under the settings link on the top of the page, the corners on the open tabs are now a 7px rounded edge. In addition, I made a single javascript function to add the css styling and the option to turn on or off the spam count. I am not sure exactly what else I have changed besides that.

The buttons have a transparency effect. When you hover over the messages it adds a color over the selected message. The web buttons have rounded corners and a couple other small things.
