ShrinkTweet is a userscript for the new twitter interface.
This script adds a button "Shrink!" before the "Tweet" button.
Clicking the "Shrink" button would transform words like "you" to "u", "are" to "r", "You" to "U", "as soon as possible" to "ASAP", and so on. Many formal and informal abbreviations have been included.
This helps users to stay under 140 character limit in Twitter by reducing the text length automagically wherever possible.
The script is also programmed to be case-intelligent and punctuation-intelligent.
The button is available in the new Twitter TweetBox popup widget too.
