This script improves the new Beta released for Y! Mail in Oct 2010.
1) Reorganizes and reduces space needed by header (more room for actual mail). This is very helpful in notebooks and other smaller res devices.
2) Removes the main 300x300 ad in the Mail home page
3) Removes the Ad sidebar in the inbox and allows you to use full width of Y! Mail.

  • Updated Jan 14: to adjust for some internal Y! Mail changes
  • Updated Feb 3: to better support Chrome besides FF
  • Updated August 2: to better layout the search bar to avoid overlapping with mail tabs and better fit in top row (thanks @notat!). Also made changes to include pattern to be Chrome compliant and be more flexible with possible URL changes by Yahoo.
  • Updated August 23: to adjust for some internal Y! Mail ID and Class name changes. Should work again fine.
  • Updated Oct 21: Yahoo! changed an ad slot about the Inbox link. This update removes it
UPDATE: I just uploaded a different script to disable the flash based uploader in Yahoo Mail. If you have problems with the flash-based uploader, try this new script.
