What It Does
This script replaces Facebook share redirect links with direct links.Share links normally point to a Facebook page which redirects your browser to the shared item. This script changes the link so clicking on it will bring you directly to that item without going through the Facebook page.
Why Bother?
1. Privacy. Using the redirects, Facebook can track every visit to a shared item. Removing the redirect allows you to go directly to the shared item without Facebook's knowledge.2. Speed. Going through Facebook first is an extra step and completely unnecessary from a user's perspective. While Facebook's redirect has always worked well in my experience, there are scenarios where the redirect links could increase load times for the shared items or make them impossible to visit entirely.
