Delta009 Internet Security - PWN Blacklist.

This blacklist blocks known distributors of malware/porn/spyware/adware/virii/phishing.

It's a mix between various blacklistes, plus my Hosts file, in order to provide the most accurate blacklist possible.

This script:
1. protects you from more bad sites than Firefox alone;
2. detects more rapidly web forgery because it does not have to contact a remote server to check if the page is forged.
3. has been tested with the Google Safe Browsing Test Page ( http://www.google.com/tools/firefox/safebrowsin... ).

If a dangerous website is detected, Delta009 Internet Security - PWN Blacklist will redirect you to a McAfee security alert webpage. The target of the redirection may be modified by editing the script. If ever, after installing this script, you can't reach a website anymore, it was most likely a bad site.

*Note : High-Speed Internet users might notice a slight pause when trying to reach a site, less than half a second. Dial-up users won't see any difference. This script is NO LONGER improved (see Nota Bene below) to minimize this pause time.

*Note #2 : This script does NOT replace standard antivirus protection. It's only a tool to help you preventing your computer from being infected with malware. For a very strong antivirus protection, I recommmend to you Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0. Personally, I disadvise you Norton Antivirus, because it's expensive and has poor malware detection rates. This script is NOT flawless, and I can't guarantee to you that installing this script will protect you from every phishing attempts. I am not a skillful antivirus developer, I am just as concerned about my computer's security than yours.

N.B. : I switched from Microsoft Windows XP to Ubuntu Linux. It means that I don't need a blacklist anymore in order to be protected from malware. In order to be fully protected againt virii and other malware, I highly recommend you to switch to Linux. This script will be maintained on this website for your convenience, but I won't update it anymore.
