Since SMF 1.1, you can edit messages quickly because SMF uses AJAX to edit messages.
But by default, you can only edit one message at a time.
If you click the edit button on any other messages, you'll be discarding the current one.
Tested on Default theme.
This userscript allows you to edit many messages at a time.
