Two Column Google (row-wise)

Two Column Google (row-wise) v1.1 places Google search results into two columns row-wise, making use of wasted space on large monitors. Now with result numbering! Based on the original idea by Jeffrey Sharkey

*** Please note this script has been superseded by GoogleMonkeyR ***

Rather than the results being sorted into two columns in a newspaper format, this script organises the results into a table that reads left to right i.e.
result1 result2
result3 result4

etc.

New in v1.1 numbering of the results

NB* This script also produces nicely nested rows!!!

NB* If you want to alter the maximum number of results returned per page by google follow this link and check out E. Preferences http://www.google.com/help/interpret.html

NB* If you have an extra, extra wide monitor you could try altering line 15 (var cols=2;) This lets you set the number of columns you want!

If you notice any problems with the script or want a feature, please leave a comment

schmancy47 glad you like the script!
As far as i can see google doesnt number my results and there is no setting in the preferences to do so.
As i'm sure you've already worked out, if you comment out line 24 (starts with "link.innerHTML=") this will disable the numbering.

Great script! This makes that annoying scrolling process a lot easier.

The numbers themselves seem to be a little redundant, since Google numbers search results.
