Playit (namespace http://brightbyte.de/gm/, URI http://brightbyte.de/gm/playit) is a GreaseMonkey script for del.icio.us. It integrates players for several media types and sources into del.icio.us pages. You can get it here: (view, install, disclaimer).
The Playit script supports playback or inline display for the following:
- Video pages on YouTube, Google Video, and SevenLoad (using the flash players provided by those sites)
- Generic links to image files (file name ends with .gif, .jpeg or .png)
- Generic links to common media files (mpeg, ogg and mp3; uses a generic object tag, meaning you have to have the appropriate plugins installed)
- Images, audio and video from MediaWiki-based sites, especially Wikipedia and Wikimedia Commons (these have to be handled specially, because the URLs of description pages look like they point directly to media files)
- Image-Pages on Flickr
Adding support for other sites and media should be simple enough, try it :) No, there's no documentation.
